Saints vs Bills Odds - Buffalo defense no match for Saints firepower
The Saints vs Bills odds is a non-conference matchup between the Bills, still the lovable loser of the AFC, and the Saints, whom online betting cappers have watched establish themselves as a team to be reckoned with over the last couple of weeks. The Bills defense doesn’t have the answer to slow down Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense, which will be the difference.

Saints vs Bills odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
The sportsbook odds makers have already adjusted to the New Orleans Saints after two weeks. It’s quite clear that they might have the best offense in the NFL and their defense is slightly improved. That means the Saints are to be reckoned with in the NFC. For the Bills, this game will be a litmus test for them. After collapsing against New England then capably handling the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a lot of people aren’t sure how good the Bills really are. This is an opportunity for them to make a statement - but they might not be good enough to do it. Betting Edge: Even
Saints vs Bills odds maker breakdown: Offense
The Saints offense is rolling right now and it’s not just the passing game. For a second straight week, the Saints topped the 100-yard rushing mark, and their passing game is as fluid as it gets. The Saints have scored 93 points in two weeks and are 21-4 when scoring 28 or more points, and it’s likely they’ll hit that total on Sunday. The Buffalo Bills offense has been decent in the first couple of weeks, especially when you consider that their offensive line is the least experienced in the NFL. They are still finding their feet under a new offensive coordinator, and if they can continue to grow, they could actually be one of the better units in the NFL. They continue to rely on Fred Jackson, who has been impressive out of the backfield, and if they can control the ball in this game, then they’ll have a shot to win. Betting Edge: Saints
Saints vs Bills odds maker breakdown: Defense
With the additions of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, safety Darren Sharper and first-round pick Malcolm Jenkins, the Saints have improved on defense. They have still allowed 24.5 points per game to start the year but there hasn’t been a big need to clamp down. When they’ve needed key stops in both games, they’ve got them. The Bills defense is a bit of a concern. At times, they look fairly solid - such as when they shut down the Patriots for three-and-a-half quarters in Week 1 or when they shut down the Bucs running game in Week 2 - but they have been inconsistent. They did allowed the Patriots to come back and also allowed Byron Leftwich to pass for nearly 300 yards last week. That’s an ominous sign with Drew Brees coming to town. Betting Edge: Even
Saints vs Bills odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
The Bills’ inexperienced offensive line took a hit last week when they lost tackle Brad Butler for the rest of the year. Jonathan Scott will take over. For the Saints, running back Mike Bell has a sprained MCL and likely won’t play this week, but the injury may not be too big of a concern if starter Pierre Thomas is ready to play. Betting Edge: Even
Saints vs Bills odds for total: 52.5
Playing for a second week on the road, the Saints offense won’t be as explosive, but their defense will come to play. The Saints should be in control for this contest but 52.5 is a high total considering they are playing the Bills. Look for this game to finish somewhere in the 40’s. Pick: Under 52.5
Saints vs Bills betting breakdown: Outlook and Pick
NFL betting fans aren’t sure what to make of the Bills so far but a win here would get them a stamp of approval. But that’s not likely to happen. The Saints are functioning at a high level right now and even though the long road trip will slow them down a little bit, they’ll still get the win and cover. STAN’S PICK: Saints -4.5
