Seahawks Cowboys Betting – ‘Boys Get Back On Track Against Lowly ‘Hawks
Online betting players never know what to think about Dallas, arguably the most inconsistent team in the NFL as you don’t know which group of Cowboys will show up on a weekly basis. Look for the explosive Cowboys when they welcome Seattle to town on Sunday, as they’ll take out the frustrations of a big divisional loss last week on the Seahawks.

Why Bet On Seattle Seahawks (2-5 SU, 3-3-1 ATS)
The passing game actually gained some traction for Seattle, but they still fell 34-12 at home to Cincinnati despite outgaining them 411-252 in total offense. Tarvaris Jackson was 21-of-40 for 323 yards after replacing Charlie Whitehurst, but he was picked off and failed to throw a touchdown, while Marshawn Lynch ran for the team’s only score, but he also fumbled. Lynch only ran for 24 yards on 16 carries and the Seahawks ran for 61 yards on 20 attempts. The defense did well to limit Cincinnati’s yards, but they gave the Bengals five first downs due to penalties and the team had 11 flags as a whole; Seattle isn’t close to being good enough to give opponents the opportunity to move the chains. To be fair to Seattle, they were down by five with 8:55 to go, but the Bengals took a pick back 75 yards and they also allowed a punt return for a score.
The Seahawks should have receiver Mike Williams (hamstring) back in the lineup, and Seattle actually has a solid group of receivers. The problem is, they have Tarvaris Jackson as their quarterback, and he had to replace Charlie Whitehurst. When that is your quarterback rotation, your NFL betting odds are going to suffer. The defense is actually decent, ranking 13th in the league, but they’re put in bad positions by a poor offense and head coach Pete Carroll has to figure out how to get some points on the board.
Why Bet On Dallas Cowboys (3-4 SU, 3-3-1 ATS)
Dallas was absolutely dominated in a 34-7 loss in Philadelphia, and outside of a 70-yard touchdown catch for Laurent Robinson in which there was a coverage mix-up by the Eagles, there wasn’t much to smile about if you’re a Cowboys fan. Tony Romo was 18-of-35 for 203 yards, a touchdown and a pick, and even though DeMarco Murray had 74 yards on just eight carries, the Cowboys had to go away from the running game due to being down by a lot of points. The defense was carved up to the tune of 495 yards, including 239 on the ground and you have to think the Eagles were motivated by the comments of coordinator Rob Ryan, who called Philadelphia the “All-Hype team”. Ryan’s defense had no answer as they tried to take away the Eagles’ outside receivers, so Philadelphia destroyed them up the middle. If there was a star of the game for Dallas, it was DeMarcus Ware, who had 11 tackles and four sacks on the night.
It didn’t help that, for most of the game, they were without linebacker Sean Lee (wrist), who will try to play through the pain this weekend. Keith Brooking was picked on by the Eagles and he has lost a step in coverage. Cornerback Mike Jenkins (hamstring) is likely out for a few weeks, while running back Felix Jones (ankle) is now day-to-day. There were a lot of factors working against Dallas on Sunday night: Ryan’s comments, the Eagles were coming off a bye (Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid is now 13-0 after a bye week), and Philadelphia played like a desperate team. It’s now time for the Cowboys to find that desperation and the onus is on head coach Jason Garrett to spark the club.
How It Will Play Out
The Cowboys are an 11.5-point favorite at home against the Seahawks, who are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five trips to Dallas. Three of those games fell under the posted total, and that is all on the Dallas offense because Seattle will find it tough to put points on the board.
Look for the Cowboys to bounce back this week, even though their secondary is banged up because Seattle will have a tough time dealing with Ware. Dallas will wear down the Seahawks with Murray and then strike with some big plays over the top. Expect Dez Bryant, who was virtually shut out against the Eagles, to be a force as well. Take the Cowboys to cover the 11.5-point sports betting spread this week.
