Titans Bills Betting – Titans, Bills Fight For AFC Wild Card Spot Sunday
While there has been enough talk about Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos as well as Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets with both teams at 6-5 and fighting for the final AFC Wild Card, the team that has flown the furthest under the radar this season is the Tennessee Titans. Many sports betting players are surprised when they hear that the Titans are also at 6-5 and in that same fight for a Wild Card spot as they travel to face the Buffalo Bills this week, a team that has trended the other way following a fast start.

NFL Betting Pick: Buffalo Bills – 1
After winning six of their first eight games, the Bills have lost four straight and are now one game back of the aforementioned group of three teams tied for that final Wild Card spot. Buffalo nearly had a chance against the Jets in last week’s 28-24 loss before Steve Johnson failed to secure a wide open grab deep over the middle, which ironically enough is symbolic of how the team’s season has gone so far.
Titans Bills Betting Preview: Tennessee Titans
It is an intriguing story when you follow the way that the Titans have flown under the radar this season, especially considering the attention that both the Jets and Broncos have received. After stringing together three straight wins from late September in to early October, the team has alternated wins and losses over the past six weeks to keep pace with the Wild Card teams, and now has the chance to capitalize with a strong finish to their season. Three of the Titans’ final five games are against teams with sub-.500 records, and as long as Matt Hasselbeck and the offense can continue to put up points, Tennessee could be one of the major surprises this year.
Titans Bills Betting Preview: Buffalo Bills
Unlike at the beginning of the year when the Bills were doing an excellent job of protecting the football while creating turnovers themselves, that trend has been reversed in recent weeks, as the team has simply failed to execute. Buffalo has lost four straight due to some awful defense, and the offense’s inability to execute under pressure. The loss of running back Fred Jackson for the remainder of the year stings, and puts even more of the offensive burden on quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick heading in to the final stretch, a burden he may not be ready to handle. Buffalo’s defense ranks a pedestrian 22nd and 21st against the pass and rush respectively, and will need to tighten things up front in order to have a shot this week.
Titans Bills Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
While the sportsbooks still feel as though the Bills have a shot to turn their season around and have made them home favorites, they haven’t done nearly enough in recent weeks for them to earn that role. Tennessee has flown under the radar all year, and now it is time for them to step up and show the AFC why they deserve a bigger spotlight.
