Titans Chargers Betting – San Diego Faces Must-Win Game Against Tennessee
The San Diego Chargers truly cannot afford many more losses if they want to merely make the playoffs. Game eight of the 2010 is a must for coach Norv Turner’s club.

Why To Bet On The Titans
The best reason to bet on the Tennessee Titans is that the Chargers are imploding before the eyes of the nation. San Diego held the New England Patriots to just 179 yards of total offense this past Sunday, yet still found a way to lose to the Patriots, 23-20. The Chargers committed four first-half turnovers and gift-wrapped points for the Pats on a day when New England could barely move the ball. San Diego is making an ungodly amount of mistakes in almost every game it plays. It’s worth noting that the Chargers won very decisively in their two victories this season; San Diego crushed the Jacksonville Jaguars by a 38-13 score and thumped the Arizona Cardinals, 41-10. The fact that the Chargers haven’t been able to replicate such performances speaks to the incredibly poor level of coaching the Chargers have, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Defensive coordinator Ron Rivera is one of the sharpest guys in the league; it’s been the offense – for which Turner is responsible – that has stumbled all over itself in 2010. If the Titans – who played a steady game last Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles – can force turnovers and put San Diego’s offense in predictable passing situations, the visitors can definitely win this game. Backup quarterback Kerry Collins – now the starter in light of Vince Young’s injury – very quickly established a rapport with promising second-year wide receiver Kenny Britt. If those two can continue to generate point production for Tennessee, the Titans stand a really good chance in this contest.
Why To Bet On The Chargers
The Chargers have been disappointing a lot of bettors throughout 2010, but this team’s streak of ineptitude has to end sometime, right? The Chargers’ season is on the line, and it’s worth noting that two seasons ago, this franchise started 4-8 before rallying to not only make the playoffs at 8-8, but knock out Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Wild Card Game. San Diego knows how to finish seasons, and this could very well mark the point in an NFL campaign when the Chargers get off the mat and finally begin to play up to their immense capabilities. As said before, San Diego romped in each of its two wins; this team has the talent to win a lot of ballgames. That talent simply has to show itself on Sundays, beginning with this game against a Tennessee team that will be playing without Vince Young, its starting quarterback. Kerry Collins is a solid veteran, but it’s important to realize that Young could scramble out of trouble in the pocket, which is something Collins can’t do. If San Diego’s defensive front generates any kind of pass rush, this game could get ugly for the Titans.
How The Game Will Play Out
Kerry Collins will get roughed up, and he won’t establish Kenny Britt in the passing game. The Chargers’ defense will flourish, and while San Diego won’t run wild on offense, it won’t commit the tidal wave of turnovers witnessed last week against the New England Patriots. San Diego has to break out of its slump, and it will this weekend.
