NHL West Betting – Wild and Wooly Finish on Tap for Western Conference
Sports betting experts love this time of the year. March madness betting is coming down to the final game, horse betting is getting ready to start and sports fans are watching the MLB scores. The NHL’s Western Conference is a congested mess where no less than seven teams are fighting for the final five playoff spots. The Western Conference will come down to the final games of the season, which means the coming week should be fun for all NHL fans.
Blue Jackets Stars Betting – Tuesday, 8:30 PM ET
The Dallas Stars have four games left to try and move the three points from 10th place into eighth place for the last playoff spot in the conference. This has been a roller coaster year for the Stars as they have been as high as fourth in the conference. The Blue Jackets are out of playoff contention and not playing very well at all. The Jackets have a 2-5-3 record in the last 10 games, and they may be exactly what the Dallas Stars need to move up.
Canucks Oilers Betting – Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET
With only three games left in the season, the confirmed President’s Trophy winners for 2010-2011 in Vancouver want to be very careful with the last place Edmonton Oilers. Edmonton is 1-6-3 in the last 10 games, but they are a young team that is capable of surprises. One of those surprises was beating the Canucks over the weekend. Vancouver does not want to go into the playoffs with the thought of losing two games to the worst team in hockey hanging over their heads.
Blues Blackhawks Betting – Wednesday, 8:00 PM ET
The last team that the Chicago Blackhawks want to see when they are hanging on to eighth place in the conference by one point is the St. Louis Blues. This is the same Blues team that blew out the Red Wings last week 10-3. If you give the Blues room, they will hurt you. The Blackhawks need to win this game, but their inconsistent goaltending and inability to put the puck in the net lately make Chicago the perfect victim for the Blues’ latest run of good games.
Oilers Flames Betting – Wednesday, 9:30 PM ET
The Oilers are playing spoiler to several Western Conference playoff teams this week. The Calgary Flames are 4-4-2 in the last 10 games and riding a two-game winning streak. The difference between the Flames and the Canucks when it comes to playing the Oilers is that the Flames understand the importance of winning games as you head into the playoffs. That is why the Flames will take this game from the Oilers.
Coyotes Kings Betting – Wednesday, 10:30 PM ET
The Coyotes and the Kings are battling for fourth place in the Western Conference which offers home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Both of these teams have nearly identical home and road records, and they are both 7-2-1 in the last 10 games. The difference here will be the superior defense of the Kings backed up by goalie Jonathan Quick. This one may go into overtime, but it should be the Kings that come out on top.
