Betting On NHL Hockey – Important Weekend For Kings And Penguins
Sports betting online hockey fans have watched the Pittsburgh Penguins struggle without Sidney Crosby, and the Los Angeles Kings struggle in general. When NFL betting was going on, the Kings were at the top of the Western Conference. In the last few weeks, Los Angeles has been in a tailspin towards the bottom of the conference. Pittsburgh’s NHL scores without Crosby, and without Evgeni Malkin for one game, have not been good either. A preview of this weekend’s games will let us know if the Pens and Kings can climb back up in the NHL standings before the All-Star break.
Devils Flyers Betting – Saturday, 1:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ first beating on their downward slide came at the hands of the lowly New Jersey Devils. The Devils beat the Penguins 2-0, and legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur looked good. But the Flyers are not suffering from any major injuries and they have no personnel problems. Right now, it does not matter whether it is Bobrovsky or Boucher in goal, the Flyers will put it to the Devils in this game.
Hurricanes Penguins Betting – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. That means that the Pens were losing even when Crosby was in the lineup. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury looks shaky again, and the Pens are hitting a mid-season slump. The Hurricanes are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games and give glimpses of making a playoff run, but then they fall off again. However, the Hurricanes enter this game with the hot hand and will have a very good chance of giving Pittsburgh yet another loss.
Capitals Maple Leafs Betting – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
What makes this game interesting is the Leafs. In their last 10 games, the Leafs are 6-3-1, and they are 10-10-4 at home this season. The Caps have only lost two of their last 10 games, and are getting some excellent goaltending from Varlamov. Leaf fans want to believe that the team can turn itself around, but the waffles will probably be flying in Toronto again as the Leafs do not have the fire power to take down the Caps.
Kings Coyotes Betting – Saturday, 8:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Kings went from the top of the Pacific Division, right to the basement in less than a month. In their last 10 games, the Kings are 2-8-0. The Kings just cannot score goals anymore. Goaltender Jonathan Quick is 0-4 in his last four games but he is averaging less that three goals against per game. Phoenix is rolling and have won seven of their last 10 games. The Kings need to start winning to climb out of the Pacific Division basement, but they won’t be able to do it in Phoenix.
Sabres Islanders Betting – Sunday, 3:00 PM ET
The Sabres will meet the Islanders three times in the month of January, including a home and home series over the weekend. The last time these two teams met a week ago, the Islanders beat the Sabres 5-3. Since then, the Sabres have gone on to win two important divisional games over the Canadiens and the Bruins. The Sabres are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and rolling. The Islanders are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games, and are in a familiar losing streak.
