NHL Betting Tips – Key Games Early In The Week
If you are looking to make a sports bet early this week and you do not feel like doing any college basketball betting, then consider betting on the NHL. While NHL trade rumors are flying, the teams battling for a playoff spot are starting to feel the noose get tighter. The top teams are vying for that overall spot in the division, and the teams on the fringe are trying to make their final push to get in on the playoff race before it is too late.
Sabres Canadiens Betting – Tuesday, 7:30 PM ET
Time is running out on the Buffalo Sabres, and they are showing the inconsistency that has kept them out of the playoffs to this point. The Sabres are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, but their last start was a 7-6 overtime loss to the struggling New York Islanders. The Canadiens are only one point out of first place in the Northeast division. With a 19-7-5 home record, look for the Canadiens to take the sports book win in this one.
Flyers Lightning Betting – Tuesday, 7:30 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning trail the Philadelphia Flyers by four points for the Eastern Conference lead. In their last 10 games, the Lightning are 8-2-0 but they have shown signs of defensive lapses. The Flyers are 17-6-3 on the road, and the Philly boys should be the team you take to win this critical Eastern Conference game.
Wild Canucks Betting – Tuesday, 8:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks are the best team in the league right now. They are 7-1-2 in the last 10 games, and Vancouver has only lost 11 games all season long. This is a team that can score goals at will. The Wild are caught up in the battle for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. But they are putting up a good fight as they are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games and on a three-game winning streak. Going into Vancouver and beating the Canucks is nearly impossible, but give the Wild a chance in this one.
Hurricanes Devils Betting – Wednesday, 7:00 PM ET
Three months ago this game would have been a slam dunk for the Carolina Hurricanes. But the New Jersey Devils have climbed out of the Eastern Conference basement and sit in 13th place. In their last 10 games the Devils have gone 8-1-1 and are riding a four-game winning streak. The Hurricanes are right in the middle of that fierce playoff battle in the Eastern Conference, but they have only won four of their last 10 starts. With or without Brodeur, the Devils may be too much for the Hurricanes.
King Blue Jackets Betting – Wednesday, 7:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Kings finally got their groove back and are threatening for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Kings are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games and riding a two-game winning streak. Goalie Jonathan Quick just shut out the Philadelphia Flyers in Philadelphia. Regardless of what the Blue Jackets are up to, the Kings are on too much of a roll to be stopped now.
