Sharks vs Coyotes Betting Odds – Sharks have Coyotes number
NHL Odds: Pick Sharks -105 |
The Sharks vs Coyotes betting odds have occurred a few times this year and online betting cappers have learned one thing: the Coyotes aren’t ready to be a serious contender quite yet. Sure, the Coyotes have been one of the biggest surprise teams in the NHL and they would be in the playoffs if they started today, but they still aren’t good enough to compete with the league’s elite or even their division’s elite. That will be evident again on Tuesdaynt.
Sharks vs Coyotes betting odds: Coyotes -115 |
| Coyotes goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is 1-2-2 in his last six starts |
| Nabokov is 1-1-0 with a 4.60 GAA against the Coyotes this season, getting pulled twice |
Sharks are 8-2-0 in last 10 games |
The sportsbook odds makers know that the Coyotes have been a tough team to beat at home this season but one team that has been successful has been the Sharks. The division rivals meet up again on Tuesday night, which makes it the fifth meeting this season.
The Coyotes surprised the Sharks in the first two meetings with two wins but they have lost the last two contests. Three of the four games have gone to extra time and all four games have been decided by one goal.
But the Sharks seem to have the Coyotes number a little bit as evidenced by their most recent wins. The Coyotes had a franchise-high 10-game home-winning streak in the last week of December and the Sharks snapped it with a 3-2 shootout win on December 31st. That was a key game for the Coyotes to potentially make up some ground and get in the race for the division but instead, they faltered.
That loss has stuck with them a little bit as they have spun out of control since.
Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is just 1-2-2 in his last six starts with a GAA of 3.34. Considering he 7-1-1 with a GAA of 1.76 in his previous nine, he has clearly tailed off.
NHL betting fans win just twice since that loss to the Sharks and have lost four times since – including again to the Sharks. Goal scoring has been a bit of an issue as right-winger Scottie Upshall has missed three straight starts but he could make his return on Tuesday. He’s a key cog and he has three goals and four assists against the Sharks this season.DON’S PICK: This will be a close game – especially since it is a back-to-back road situation for the Sharks –d but they are the better team. Take them as a slight underdog.
Sharks vs Coyotes Betting Pick: Sharks -105
