Breeders Cup Juvenile Sprint Betting - A look at future horse racing stars
What: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint Preview
Where: Churchill
When: Friday, November 4th
Things are starting to solidify for the sports betting Juvenile Sprint as the pre-entries are about a week away so let’s take a look at some of the runners that figure to be strong players.
Secret Circle will be a huge factor in Breeder’s Cup betting if Bob Baffert decides to go into this race instead of the juvenile itself. The runner has won both races in facile manner with identical 97 Beyers and the blood is there for him to mature with class. His dam won a couple of stakes but maybe more importlantly is kin to Grade 3 winner and near $400,000 earner Really Polish.
After Secret, this race really opens up. Me and My Gals broke onto the racing scene with a freak job in September controlling the pace and outcome drawing away by over 8 lengths in his only start with a 95 Beyer at Hoosier.
Vexor is an interesting runner. He has only run one poor sportsbooks race and he caught the slop that day in his Grade 1 debut in the Hopeful. He rebounded from the dismal effort but pushing the issue, then coming away late to win the Grade 2 Nashua with a 80 Beyer. This guy does not look speed crazy but he has the zip to maintain contact from the get go.
Todd Pletcher’s student Hunt Crossing also didn’t fire in that sloppy Hopeful. He won his other two efforts and like the fact he is already at Churchill as he posted a decent work there on 10/17.
Seeker has only won once but he seems to be figuring it out. He was tons best of the rest in his debut at Saratoga, and may not have cared for the surface in his Nashua third. His upside is his pedigree as his dam won several stakes and banked nearly $350,000 and she has dropped some outstanding performers like 5-race stakes winner and also near $350,000 player Classify.
Sum of the Parts is on the fence at this point for this race but he deserves a long shot look if he shows the day of the race. Trained by classy horsemean Tom Amoss, this runner overcame a poor start to win his debut, a MSW race at Churchill in May. He was troubled next out, was bothered at the break at Monmouth Park in the Grade 3 Sapling and and then a closing 2nd in his last race, a $75,000 Remington stakes.
He still could be any kind as his dam Enjoy the Moment won multiple Graded stakes and banked nearly $550,000.
Online bettors want a horse in this race that has positional speed who will not be dependent on others to set up his late kick.
