UFC 114 Betting – “Black-On-Black Crime” At UFC 114
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs “Sugar” Rashad Evans
UFC 114 Betting Odds: Jackson -130
With all due respect to the Shogun Rua-Lyoto Machida rematch, this will be the most anticipated UFC match of the year.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans have been talking trash for quite some time now and the light heavyweights will get in the ring to settle the score.
Both were coaches on the last Ultimate Fighter and the tension only built as the two fighters trash-talked throughout the show.
It should be a very interesting bout as Evans has a little bit more speed while Jackson has a little bit more power. While Jackson has a little bit more of that street-fighting element to his game, Evans is a little more smooth and polished.
The real question is how hungry will Rampage be and what kind of shape he’ll be in. There’s been speculation at times that Rampage has underachieved but other times he’s shown up and dominated. It seems to go on a fight-by-fight basis, but there is no question that UFC betting fans should expect to see the best out of him against Evans.
These two guys genuinely dislike each other and that’s going to bring that dog out of Jackson. Evans is a good fighter but bet on Rampage to overwhelm him at UFC 114.
Bet UFC 114: JacksonMichael Bisping vs Dan Miller
UFC 114 Betting Odds: NO LINE YET
Dan Miller is a very respectable fighter in the UFC and he’ll take on a hungry Michael Bisping at UFC 114.
While Miller has a pair of losses against Chael Sonnen and Demian Maia, those are two tough fighters and Miller doesn’t have anything to be ashamed about. As a matter of fact, just the fact that he lasted three rounds against Maia and wasn’t submitted – something only one other UFC fighter has done – shows his prowess.
Bisping has had some tough losses of late himself. Everyone remembers the loss to Dan Henderson and although he bounced back against Dennis Kang, he then lost by decision to Wanderlei Silva.
He needs to make a statement here or he’s going to be a forgotten man in the middleweight class.
Bisping is by no means a great fighter but he does a lot of things well. In this case, he does a lot of things just slightly better than Miller. Bisping needs a credible win in the worst way and he’ll find a way to do it at UFC 114.
Bet UFC 114: BispingTodd Duffee vs Mike Russow
UFC 114 Betting Odds: NO LINE YET
Todd Duffee arrived on the mixed martial arts scene in a major way when he absolutely destroyed Tim Hague in record time. Duffee’s knockout of Hague at UFC 102 was officially clocked in at an incredible seven seconds of the first round.
He was supposed to return at UFC 107 to fight Paul Buentello but online betting fans saw him pullout because of a back injury.
He’ll fight Mike Russow at UFC 114 and for both of them, it will be their second fight in the UFC.
Duffee had a huge knockout of Hague and everyone remembers that one clearly. It was on the highlights, it was talked about on forums and it’s now his signature. But how good of a fighter is he really? There is some value taking Russow in this fight as everyone is overvaluing Duffee’s fantastic knockout.
It’s tough to pick a winner but the value offered with Russow is the play.
Bet UFC 114: RussowDiego Sanchez vs John Hathaway
UFC 114 Betting Odds: Sanchez -350
Diego Sanchez is fresh off of his beat down at lightweight at the hands of B.J. Penn. Sanchez is really a welterweight and the jump up in weight didn’t do him any favors. At welterweight, he is 8-2 and should get back on the winning track.
John Hathaway has yet to taste an MMA defeat and is 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the UFC. Mixed martial arts betting fans know that this is a big step up in competition for Hathaway and Sanchez is going to be very hungry for a win. He’s a big favorite and expect a big win.
Bet UFC 114: SanchezAntonio Rogerio Nogueira vs Jason Brilz
UFC 114 Betting Odds: NO LINE YET
Former UFC light heavyweight champions Forrest Griffin had to pull out of his battle with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira so Jason Brilz will step in.
Brilz deserves some credit for taking on this bout in short notice, but this is going to be a huge step up in competition. He also fought on March 1st, so he won’t exactly have a ton of time to prepare and recover.
This could turn out to be a major upset but more realistically, it’s probably just too much, too soon for Brilz and he’s going to get roughed up. Little Nog is a savvy veteran and he’ll be prepared to punish Brilz.
