Manny Parra was absolutely awful in the first half of the season, walking batters like crazy, and earned himself a demotion. However, he still has a strong natural arsenal of pitches as a lefty and he looked dominant in his return from the minors last week, tossing seven scoreless innings against the first-place Cardinals, walking just one batter and striking out seven.
He’ll be an underdog on the road at Cincinnati’s hitter’s park, but opposing starter Aaron Harang has a spotty track record against several top Milwaukee hitters. MLB betting fans should pick the Brewers to upset the Reds.
MLB underdog picks: Tigers over Yankees

The MLB underdog betting train chugs on and the next stop is Yankee Stadium. Are we crazy or is Joba Chamberlain overrated? He has fantastic stuff but he consistently struggles to throw strikes. He and the Yankees will be favorites in Sunday’s sports betting odds because of his 0.82 ERA against the Tigers, but the stat is deceiving. He’s only actually started against the Tigers once and the rest of his success came as a reliever.
All-Star Edwin Jackson is great on the road (2.33 ERA), so he could surprise and stymie the Yankees. The Tigers are a good underdog betting pick on Sunday.

It’s never too early to start your NFL underdog betting and a lot of sharps are placing their regular-season win total wagers as you read these words. One to consider: the Seattle Seahawks to win more than eight games.
After sputtering last season, the Seahawks are favored to win less than eight games (-125). However, their offense should be vastly improved with a healthy Matt Hasselbeck under center and improved targets in T.J. Houshmandzadeh and John Carlson. The defense should be much better too after Seattle used its first-round pick on outside linebacker Aaron Curry and acquired Cory Redding to boost the interior defense.
Bet on the Seahawks to top eight wins and, if you’re feeling really adventurous, pick them to win the NFC West.
