SATURDAY, MARCH 7
NCAA basketball odds – No. 1 Connecticut at No. 3 Pittsburgh (12:00 PM ET)
The Huskies can claim a share of the Big East regular-season title with a win at Pitt, and the Panthers are going for a season sweep after beating UConn on the road. The matchup to watch will be at the point, where Pitt’s Levance Fields and UConn’s A.J. Price could overshadow the meeting between the Huskies’ Hasheem Thabeet and the Panthers’ DeJuan Blair in the post.
NCAA basketball lines – No. 6 Louisville at West Virginia (12:00 PM ET)
With a win and a Pitt win over UConn, the Cardinals can win the Big East outright, and a victory still earns them half the crown. The Mountaineers played the Cardinals tough in a six-point loss at Louisville, although they’ve dropped four straight against Rick Pitino’s squad.
NHL odds – Chicago at Boston (1:00 PM ET)
The East-leading Bruins have been slumping lately, and they will be hosting a Chicago team that has won six of its last 10. The Bruins beat the Blackhawks 2-1 in Chicago back in November, and Martin Havlat will lead the ‘Hawks on their quest for revenge.
NBA lines – Miami at Cleveland (7:30 PM ET)
The Cavs continue a difficult weekend, and any online betting player will be interested by another meeting between LeBron James and the Heat’s Dwayne Wade. These two MVP candidates didn’t not disappoint in a 107-100 Cleveland win in Miami on Monday, and the games will ratchet up in intensity as we get closer to the postseason.
SUNDAY, MARCH 8
NBA betting – Orlando at Boston (1:00 PM ET)
The Magic and Celtics wrap up a tough weekend in the East on Sunday afternoon, and Boston will be going for its third win over Orlando this season. Watch for Dwight Howard in the post for the Magic.
NASCAR odds – NASCAR Atlanta Odds (1:30 PM ET)
Card Edwards is a narrow favorite at +475 over Jimmie Johnson (+500) and defending race-winner Kyle Busch (+500), who also won last week’s race in Las Vegas, his hometown. However, those who bet sports know not to count out Jeff Gordon (+700), who has been the most consistent driver so far this season.
NCAA basketball lines – No. 7 Duke at No. 2 North Carolina (4:00 PM ET)
The Tar Heels can win the ACC crown with a win over their bitter rivals, but the Blue Devils would love to avenge a 101-87 loss at home to UNC that wasn’t even that close. Tyler Hansbrough’s last game in front of the Carolina faithful will surely be an emotional time.
