Argentina South Korea Betting – Argentina Will Rise To Challenging South Koreans

The 2010 World Cup is well underway and on Thursday, we’ll start to see the second wave of round robin matchups. The second wave of games is usually the key as a loss here likely means an early exit where as a win usually means a good shot at the round of 16.
Argentina and South Korea look like the two top teams in Group B and a win for either secures an advancement. But a draw would also help both sides out but Argentina is likely too strong for the South Koreans.
Team Argentina: Betting Preview
Argentina is simply one of the most talented squad at the 2010 World Cup, which is likely what is going to carry them through this matchup. They are a bit of a wild card with coach Diego Maradona at the helm and at times, they weren’t very impressive through qualifying. Even in their opener against Nigeria, they only managed one goal and weren’t as dominant as most people thought they could be against a team like Nigeria.
At the same time, it was the opener and there is a feeling out process. In this game, they will have to step their game up and they know it.
Argentina can sometimes play down to their opponents and in this case, that might be a good thing. They know that South Korea is very capable and they won’t sleep on them in this game.
Team South Korea: Betting Preview
South Korea may be one of the early surprises World Cup football betting purposes, but maybe some shouldn’t be so surprised. They did make the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup and they have played well through recent friendlies.
Their win over Greece is respectable, even though Greece is actually a weaker team than many perceive. This will be a big increase in challenge for them and they’ll find out if they are truly ready to compete for a FIFA Trophy or whether their opener was just a cute start.
Who To Bet On?
Both teams garnered the full three points in their opening match and both still have a matchup against a weaker squad in Group B, so a draw is a distinct possibility. Argentina will face Greece, and should be facing a three-point benefit there, while South Korea will play Nigeria.
Obviously, the Nigeria-Greece contest is the key here but unless Nigeria wins its last two games, they are going to have a tough time advancing.
What does that mean for this contest? Probably that both teams will be a tad conservative. South Korea may aim for a draw because that will put them in great shape for their group finally.
But even so, Argentina has far too much talent to be contained for a full contest. Argentina should edge out South Korea by a score of 2-1.
