Australia Serbia Betting – Serbia Aims For Top Spot In Group D Qualifying
Following their 1-0 loss to Ghana in the opening match of each team’s World Cup betting tournament, it appeared as though Serbia was in dire straights to advance out of Group D and in to the round of 16. A surprising win over group favorites Germany has given the Serbs new life however, and with a finale against last place Australia on the horizon, things have turned from a nightmare in to an accomplishable goal for Serbia. Australia was already the weaker team of the two on paper, and when you couple that with a pair of the Socceroos most dependable players missing the match due to past offenses, the projection for this match becomes very one-sided.

Team Australia: Betting Preview
Following a dismantling at the hands of Germany in their opening match of the tournament, the Socceroos came together for a 1-1 draw against Ghana to keep their slim hopes of advancing in to the round of 16 alive. However, even an online sports betting win over Serbia will not guarantee Australia one of the top two spots in Group D, as they will need some help from Ghana, who plays the German team currently occupying second place. Australia will also be without both Harry Kewell and Craig Moore in the midfield, both of whom were suspended following multiple yellow cards in the first two games of the tournament. They will however welcome back star Tim Cahill, who his self will be returning from suspension.
Team Serbia: Betting Preview
Many are still surprised about they way Serbia was able to shut down the explosive Germany offense that tallied four goals in their opening win over Australia. The win marked the first time since 1986 that Germany had lost in the group stages, and came despite Serbia being out shot 16-10. Serbia’s only strike to reach the net was the one that counted however, and it has given the Serbs a chance to advance. However, if Serbia is to have any chance of getting the soccer betting result they desire, they will have to do so against a team not missing their best striker due to ejection, a fate the Germans suffered in defeat.
Who To Bet On?
Although buoyed by their draw against Australia, the Socceroos remain the weak link of Group D, and with maximum points needed in order to have a chance to advance it appears as though this will be their final game. Serbia however has a golden opportunity given that the two teams it is fighting for position with now play one another, and they can squeeze in with a win against the only team in the division without a 2010 World Cup victory.
