Team Denmark: Betting Preview
After failing to qualify for both the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 Euro Cup, Danish football is once again on the rise, only it may take some more time before they are ready to compete against the best in the world. Despite the losing result, Denmark did an excellent job keeping pace with the Netherlands, and despite having the lesser amount of scoring opportunities, an own goal in injury time towards the end of the first half was the only difference on the score sheet until the 85th minute. A couple of different bounces could have lifted Denmark to a draw, and the knowledge that they were able to remain competitive with one of the best teams in the tournament will no doubt give them confidence through the remaining two group stage games.
Team Cameroon: Betting Preview
For the chances star striker Samuel Eto’o and company were able to generate against Japan, Cameroon must be feeling as though they deserved a better result. Now, with their backs against the wall heading in to their second group stage match, Paul Le Guen’s squad will need to find a way to finish their chances in order to avoid elimination. Simply making the tournament is no longer a great enough achievement for Cameroon, and after allowing Japan to clinch their first World Cup win on foreign soil, maximum points will be needed the rest of the way in order to ensure their advancement in to the round of 16.
Who To Bet On?
While Denmark did an excellent job keeping close with the Netherlands until the dying minutes of the game, there should be concern about the lack of offensive opportunities they were able to generate, a shortcoming they will have to be able to overcome to have any chance of advancing in to the round of 16. Cameroon should have the stronger online sports betting team on paper, but will need a much more offensive minded strategy in order to keep the pressure away from their own goal, and secure the maximum points that come with the win.
