Greece Nigeria Betting – Greece, Nigeria Look To Keep Cup Hopes Alive
It was a monumental task that ultimately could not be achieved by the Nigerians in their Group B opening stage match against the tournament-favorite Argentina, but losing to the South American juggernauts by a single goal is hardly something the West-Africans can not build on in their next two contests. For Greece, a humbling defeat at the hands of the Korea Republic offered little in the way of promise, as the Euro 2004 winners never looked confident in their first match of the 2010 World Cup betting tournament. Now, the two sides get together for what now amounts to a must-win situation, as a loss for either side will almost surely eliminate any opportunity for advancement to the round of 16.

Team Greece: Betting Preview
The opening game betting loss suffered to the Korean Republic is even more of a concern for Greece than it is simply a disappointment as the European side was thoroughly dominated for much of the first half, and in to the second before their opponents secured the two-goal advantage early on in the second half. The Greeks struggled with maintaining possession, and when they were able to mount an attack, failed to convert several chances that would have evened the game at one goal each. The shutout makes it four straight World Cup losses in which they have failed to record a goal, and now, with a top goalkeeper in Vincent Enyeama minding the Nigerian net, it seems as though the mountain will be even steeper for Greece as they try to end their terrible goalless streak.
Team Nigeria: Betting Preview
While Super Eagles’ goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was undoubtedly a major reason for the Nigerians keeping close with Argentina to the finish of a 1-0 loss, that performance can hardly be considered a criticism to the way the team performed. While Enyeama was undoubtedly the key for Nigeria, as evidenced by his Man of the Match recognition despite playing for the losing team, the West Africans played a solid game based on speed and strategy. The confidence they gained from keeping close with Argentina should carry over to the second game of the group stage, and with the Korean Republic already earning three points in their opening win over Greece, the same result must be achieved by Nigeria in order to remain in control of their tournament fate.
Who To Bet On?
While the potential is there for Greece to rebound with a much more sound soccer betting game after their loss, it remains highly unlikely that they will be able to mount a significant challenge for maximum points. Nigeria’s effort against Argentina should provide them with tons of confidence heading in to their second game, and with the Korean Republic in tough against Argentina, a win could set up a climactic third game against the Asian nation with a spot in the round of 16 on the line.
