Portugal North Korea Betting – Portugal Aim To Keep Pace With Brazil In Group G
From 2008 World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo, to Deco, to Simao, for all the talent and offensive skill the 2010 World Cup betting Portugal squad boasts, it’s incredible they were not able to get on the score sheet in their opening match against Cote D’Ivoire. With perennial contenders Brazil, as well as Cote D’Ivoire competing with Portugal for the two qualification spots for the round of 16, a win against North Korea will be key. Despite their 2-1 opening loss to Brazil, the Pacific players looked impressive keeping the game competitive, and getting on the board in the final minutes of the game. Now, with the remaining three teams competing behind Brazil for the final spot, maximum points will be the key for this second game of the group stage.

Team Portugal: Betting Preview
Despite not reaching the betting score sheet, the Portugal offense did an excellent job creating scoring opportunities in their 0-0 draw with Cote D’Ivoire. Now, they will have to take the next time and find a way to score against a determined North Korea team that will not allow their opponent to walk all over them. Cristiano Ronaldo was named the Man of the Match in the initial contest for his creativity and chances, including a lovely step back move from 10 yards outside the 18-yard box where he stepped back and fired a curving blast off the upright and wide, missing the mark by only inches. After a couple of days off to regroup, Portugal will need to be spot on in order to avoid putting themselves out of contention to advance past the group stage.
Team North Korea: Betting Preview
Many were surprised that the North Korean side was even able to make it to the 2010 World Cup soccer blog pages, but a one-goal defeat at the hands of powerhouse Brazil, which included keeping the offensive juggernaut off the board until the 55th minute, may be an indication that they deserve to be there. Seeded in the group of death, the odds are stacked against North Korea to advance to the round of 16, and after the opening loss, they are now facing elimination against another of the top-ranked teams in the world.
Who To Bet On?
While they did an excellent job remaining competitive against Brazil in the opener, which should only give them added confidence, it is highly improbable that the experience of the initial contest will somehow translate in to North Korea earning points against a Portugal squad that absolutely needs to secure maximum points in their quest to advance past Group G. Being held scoreless by Cote D’Ivoire should have influenced Portugal to go back to the drawing board and refine their already potent attacking strategy, as they still search for their first goal of the soccer betting tournament.
