Uruguay South Korea Betting – Korean Republic Looks To Extend Magical Run
Despite their surprising opening 2-0 win over Greece to begin World Cup betting play, few felt that the Korean Republic was strong enough to stand up to mighty Argentina and a Nigeria team playing on their home continent in order to get through to the round of 16. However, thanks to Greece bouncing back to upset the African side, all that was needed to clinch the second spot in Group B was a betting draw against Nigeria, which South Korea managed this past Tuesday. Now, with the hopes of an underdog nation on its back, the Korean Republic will open the elimination round against a Uruguay squad that hardly stuttered on its way to clinching first place in Group A.

Round of 16
Team Uruguay: Betting Preview
For all the hype and conversation surrounding Mexico, France, and South Africa, which became the first host nation in the history of the World Cup betting tournament not to qualify for the round of 16 by failing to advance past Group A, Uruguay flew under the radar right in to the elimination round. Few projected that head coach Oscar Tabarez’s side had the strength talent wise to prevail in a division featuring two of the top ranked teams in the world, and another that had history on its side as hosts, but that is exactly what Uruguay did by securing seven of a possible nine points in the opening round. Now, facing a team that world be projected as the easiest of opponents that they have faced on paper, all odds are off with a chance at the quarterfinals on the line.
Team South Korea: Betting Preview
Here is a World Cup prediction that the world can bank on: All of Seoul will be watching when their nation steps to the pitch for their elimination match against Uruguay. No one could have projected South Korea to make it in to the final eight, which it can do with a second win in this 2010 tournament. An aggressive style, and top end speed have helped head coach Huh Jung-Moo already exceed expectations with his squads first win at a major international soccer tournament not on home soil. Now comes time to find out whether star striker Park Ji-Sung and his team are for real or not.
Who Will Win It?
While Uruguay dominated Group A, they did so with a pair of wins against teams that probably had no business competing there, with contests against both the host nation, and a French side in complete disarray. Now, Uruguay will face its toughest test of the tournament against a determined Korean Republic side that has bought in to their coaches winning strategy, and have the stamina and fundamentals to properly execute it.
