How To Bet On Bulls Warriors – Wounded Bulls, Wobbly Warriors Face Off On Friday

Posted by Craig Parsons on 3/13/2013 7:40:49 PM

The Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors are two limited and unsteady basketball teams at the moment. They'll meet on Friday in search of stability and success as the season winds down.

Chicago Bulls @ Golden State Warriors – Friday, March 15

Why Chicago Will Win

When the best online betting sites size up this game, they will say that the Bulls, despite not knowing what they'll be able to count on from some less-than-fully-healthy players, can take down the Warriors. Golden State is just not playing with the same vigor, confidence or quality that it displayed earlier in the season, when it won on the road against the Miami Heat and looked like a Western Conference title contender for a brief period of time.

The Warriors are in the midst of a seven-game homestand, but they're not demolishing the competition... not regularly, at any rate. Golden State beat Toronto and Sacramento on its home floor but then lost to Houston and Milwaukee, two teams with inferior records. Yes, Golden State beat New York this past Monday, but the Knicks had a dinged-up Carmelo Anthony in their lineup - a version of Melo that was far from being whole - and were beginning a long road trip. Golden State will not find it easy to move the ball or get wide-open looks against Chicago's relentless defense, which is by far the best and most enduring attribute of the Bulls under head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Chicago's commitment to defense is what can rattle the Warriors and make Golden State doubt itself. Since Golden State does not demonstrate total command of its home court, Chicago can certainly walk into Oakland and come away with a victory.

Why Golden State Will Win

The online casino of the NBA is a world in which surprises can and do occur. One such surprise is that the Chicago Bulls, which had been such a formidable road team over the first few months of the NBA season (winning in Miami and then twice in New York against the Knicks, for instance), have suddenly been unable to win away from home against decent teams.

The Bulls' last road win was on Feb. 22, but that was against the Charlotte Bobcats, the worst team in the league. To identify the last time the Bulls won a road game against a team with a winning record, you have to go to Feb. 8, when Chicago won in Utah against the Jazz.

There is a deeper reason why the Bulls no longer win on the road against good teams, of course: Chicago has been without power forward Taj Gibson and guard Kirk Hinrich for portions of the past few weeks. These are essential role players on the Bulls, especially Gibson, given his shot-blocking and rebounding prowess. Without Gibson in the middle and Hinrich on the perimeter, Chicago's defense becomes so much more vulnerable, its nightly consistency much lower than what it used to be. The Bulls might have Gibson and Hinrich on the floor for this game in Oakland, but one can't expect either player to be anywhere close to his best.

Who Will Win

The Bulls are simply not healthy enough to win this game on the road against a decent opponent. Golden State has problems, but those problems are not as severe as the ones Chicago is facing at the present moment.
