College Football Betting: Week 10 Preview

Posted by The Wiesguy on 11/2/2015 8:11:41 PM

This is a really big week for the college gridiron. LSU plays Alabama in a game which could eliminate the Tide and TCU and Oklahoma State, two of the remaining unbeatens collide. Perhaps the other OSU can rattle the order of things with a win. Lots to tune into on Saturday.

Saturday November 7

#9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. #23 Pittsburgh Panthers

12:00PM

The Irish nearly fell last week against Temple. It would have ended their hopes for the playoffs but the win means they are still viable heading to another road game in Pennsylvania. This one should be an easier task as the Panthers are not nearly as pesky as the Owls. Take Notre Dame -7

#17 Florida State Seminoles vs. #3 Clemson Tigers

3:30PM

Everything is lining up well for Clemson this season. All they have to do is win this game and it will be a shock if they are not among the four chosen for the playoffs at season’s end. They are the better team this season but they have to overcome a three game winning streak by FSU and avoid their own history. There is no line set for this one. FSU quarterback Everett Golson is questionable. Take Clemson to win but don’t get too greedy.

Arkansas Razorback vs. #19 Ole Miss Rebels

3:30PM

The Rebels have a couple of losses but they are still alive in the SEC West race, especially if Alabama wins as expected on Saturday. This home tilt against Arkansas should not be too much to handle for one of the best defenses in the country but I don’t like giving up 11 points. Take the Hogs or take a pass.

#10 Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Indiana Hoosiers

3:30PM

The Hawkeyes continue to win and might have the best chance of any in the nation to finish undefeated. They should continue their winning ways this week but don’t completely overlook Indiana just because they have lost three in a row. I will take them and the points at home.

#5 TCU Horned Frogs vs #12 Oklahoma State Cowboys

3:30PM

Outside of the South they are billing this as the game of the day. Both teams are undefeated but only one is passing the eye test of being championship material. If TCU gets rolling they are very hard to keep pace with. Okie State is a nice story but their run ends this week. Take the Horned Frogs at only -5

#6 Michigan State Spartans vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers

7:00PM

This is a significant hurdle for Michigan State. They are on the road looking to stay unbeaten heading into their game against Ohio State later this month. Nebraska has been struggling but they are better than a 3-6 team. They have a handful of close losses and are not going to just hand the Spartans the game. No line has been posted yet. Their QB is questionable.

#4 LSU Tigers vs. #7 Alabama Crimson Tide

8:00PM

This is the game of the day, expect it to be fierce and physical. The crux of it will be whether LSU can get RB Leonard Fournette going against one of the best defenses in the country. That is kind of their only card to play and why they are +6 on the road. Alabama is the more complete team, take them at home.

Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. #1 Ohio State Buckeyes

8:00PM

As long as they are undefeated the Buckeyes are likely to hold on to that top spot in the CFP rankings. Throughout the season they have created more questions than answers but one is easy to answer for this one, Cardale Jones will play quarterback due to J.T. Barrett’s suspension. They are heavy favourites but have covered only once at home this season. Take the Gophers plus 23 Saturday night.
