49ers Look To Clinch Third-Straight NFC Title Game Berth With Win Over Panthers This Sunday
The defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers are one win away from reaching the conference title game for a third-straight season. Getting there will require beating an opponent that has already bested them this year. The 49ers will travel to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers this weekend, as they try to build on a seven-game win streak that dates back to week 12 of the regular season and includes last week’s Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers. San Francisco has lost just four games all season, and one of those online sports betting losses came against the Panthers, setting up an opportunity to earn much more than just a measure of redemption this weekend.

NFL Sports Betting Line: San Francisco – 1
Carolina’s win over the 49ers put them on the NFC radar in a lot of ways, as it proved they could compete against the best the conference had to offer. The Panthers have had the extra week to prepare for this postseason showdown, and this time around they will have the home-field advantage.
NFL Betting Preview: San Francisco 49ers
Whether or not that means much if anything at all to the 49ers is a major question mark, as four of San Francisco’s seven-straight wins have come on the road, including last week at Green Bay. A lot was made about the frigid temperatures at Lambeau Field, but the 49ers had little trouble adjusting, and ended up playing one of their better games of the season. Colin Kaepernick was the star again as he torched the Packers for over 300 total yards, while running back Frank Gore added 66 yards and a touchdown. Michael Crabtree accounted for 125 of Kaepernick’s 227 passing yards, and he will add an element to this San Francisco offense that wasn’t there in the initial meeting.
NFL Betting Preview: Carolina Panthers
The Panthers struggled to move the ball against San Francisco in their first meeting, but DeAngelo Williams broke loose for a 27-yard touchdown that held up as the winning score. In fact, that was the game’s only touchdown. Carolina won’t expect the same this time around, although its defense did an excellent job containing Kaepernick and the 49ers the first time around. Crabtree will make that job much more difficult, and the Panthers’ offense will have to be better. A lot has been made about the maturity that Cam Newton has shown this year, and he will need to be the offensive catalyst if Carolina is going to make it through to the NFC Championship game.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
The Panthers’ defense is the real deal, but there are obvious question marks on the offense, and that includes with Newton. San Francisco’s offense will be much more dangerous this time around now that Crabtree is there to stretch the field vertically, ad the 49ers should be able to score just enough to squeeze through with an online betting win to advance to a third-straight NFC title game.
