Bengals, Lions Set To Clash In Meeting Of Division Leaders
The Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions enter their week-seven online sports betting meeting with both teams sitting atop their respective divisions at 4-2. Neither team can afford to let off the gas anytime soon. The Bengals are just one game up on the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns for top spot in the AFC North, and a lot can change over the next couple of weeks. The Lions meanwhile are tied with the Chicago Bears for top spot in the NFC North, and the Green Bay Packers are just one-half game back at 3-2. Cincinnati and Detroit are each expected to contend for a playoff spot this year, but only one team will be able to take another step in the right direction this week.

NFL Sports Betting Line: Detroit -3
The Lions did the Bengals a favor with a 31-17 win over the Cleveland Browns last week, and are back at home for the final two games before their bye week. Cincinnati has five more games to play before they reach their bye week, and this week will mark the beginning of a tough stretch that includes four of their next five games on the road.
NFL Betting Preview: Cincinnati Bengals
There aren’t many NFL experts anointing the Bengals as future AFC North champions just yet, especially not after a less than convincing overtime win against the Buffalo Bills last week. Andy Dalton threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, but the offense failed to put the game away when it had the chance in the fourth quarter and the defense allowed 14 points in the final 10-and-a-half minutes to allow the Bills to force the overtime period. Both of Cincinnati’s losses have come as the visiting team, and this will mark their second-straight week on the road and second of four in five weeks.
NFL Betting Preview: Detroit Lions
The Lions have found ways to win games even with some of their star players missing time including both Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush. Both of those players are expected to be in the line up this week, and that is good news for the sixth-ranked passing attack in the league. Matt Stafford has thrown for 1,772 yards and 12 touchdowns, and will be even m ore dangerous with a full cast of weapons at his disposal. The Detroit defense bent but didn’t break in last week’s win over Cleveland, giving up 17 points but also forcing a pair of key interceptions and shutting out the Browns for the entire second half.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
The Lions really haven’t been at full strength since their week-one win over the Minnesota Vikings, but they will have both Johnson and Bush in the line up this week and that should lead to some points against this Cincinnati defense. The Bengals should be able to keep up for a while, but Dalton has been far too inconsistent this online betting season and will be in tough on the road for the second-straight week.
