Betting Predictions For Broncos Bears – Manning Set To Make His Preseason Debut In Windy City
The Denver Broncos have welcomed record crowds to their training camp practices over their last week, with fans coming from all over to get the chance to see four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning work the offense. Manning’s arrival has brought with it heightened expectations for the upcoming season, and while it will still be some time before the game’s count, No. 18 is set to make his debut in Broncos’ colors this Thursday in a preseason game against the Chicago Bears. Manning isn’t likely to see more than one or two series at most, but that won’t take away from all of the football betting attention on Soldier Field for week one of the NFL preseason.

NFL Betting Line: Chicago Bears - 3
The Bears will appreciate all of the attention being on Manning just fine, as they continue to sort out their own issues following a strong training camp. The addition of wide receiver Brandon Marshall is expected to provide a huge boost for the Chicago offense, with Alshon Jeffery, Devin Hester, Devin Thomas and tight end Kellen Davis rounding out a strong receiving core.
NFL Betting Preview: Denver Broncos
Denver head coach John Fox will protect Manning for as long as possible and make sure that he doesn’t take any unnecessary preseason hits, so look for Brock Osweller and Caleb Hanie to spend plenty of time under center in this game. Even if Manning does see the field, it will take some time before he and his receivers get up to speed and he will face a tough test against the Bears’ first-team defensive units. Rookie third-round pick running back Ronnie Hillman should see plenty of touches on offense along with Lance Ball, while the defense shows lots of different looks with Robert Ayers and Von Miller getting their work in early.
NFL Betting Preview: Chicago Bears
The Bears have a lot to be excited about as the preseason gets underway, but while Cutler and his wide receivers have shown a lot of promise in camp, look for Jason Campbell to control the offense for the majority of this game. Chicago signed running back Matt Forte to a long-term extension and added Michael Bush to help the ground game, but look for Kahlil Bell to be the workhorse back in this contest. For as much as the offense appears to have improved, this is still a team that will rely heavily on its defense this season. The Bears have elite starters at every level, but the depth is still a major question mark.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
All of the talk in Denver this offseason has been about potential, but with Manning and most of the starters watching this one from the sideline it will be all about the Bears. Chicago’s defense will focus on the ground game with Osweller and Hanie taking the majority of snaps under center, while Campbell gets his first sports betting chance to prove his merit with his new club.
