Bills Jets Betting – Jets Trying to Gain Momentum as They Head Into Playoffs
The online betting sites would have come up with a much different opinion of this game if it were played two weeks ago. Back in week 15, the New York Jets were falling apart and the Buffalo Bills were looking toward the future. But now that the Jets seem to be back on track, and the Bills experienced a long-awaited total collapse against the New England Patriots in week 16, it looks like this game will fall together as everyone expects it will.

What’s On The Line
After all of his confident talk in the preseason, Jets head coach Rex Ryan seems content to back his way into the playoffs at the number six seed. The Jets (10-5) may be able to move up to fifth in the AFC depending on what the Baltimore Ravens do in week 17. But with the way that Ryan was acting, it seems that the Jets will rest key players this week. The Bills (4-11) just want to try and leave the season on a high note after giving up seven turnovers in a week 16 embarrassment to the New England Patriots.
Offensive Matchups: Bills Jets Betting
Many of the sportsbook promo experts are guessing that the Jets first string offense will get into this game for at least the first half, but Rex Ryan is not going to let quarterback Mark Sanchez throw the ball very much. Sanchez is shaky with his confidence after costing the Jets two games in a row with bad decision making. Look for a lot of Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson in this game.
After giving Bills fans hope for the future, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick tore the heart our of Western New York with what can easily be called his worst game of the season last week. Fitzpatrick needs to get his confidence back, and get the Bills offense back on track in this game. Look for the Bills to throw the ball a lot, and to keep it on the ground with rookie running back C.J. Spiller and veteran running back Fred Jackson.

Defensive Matchups: Bills Jets Betting
The Jets defense has been there for the team all season, but it is not the defense that everyone was expecting. The pass rush and run stopping on the defensive line is championship caliber, but the much talked about secondary is getting beat on a regular basis. Antonio Cromartie and Darrelle Revis need to step up their game if they want to contain what promises to be a pass-happy Buffalo offense.
The Bills had absolutely no pass rush against the Patriots, and they face what could be considered a better offensive line with the Jets. The Bills secondary is inconsistent. One week the Bills secondary is able to take away the long ball with good schemes and flawless execution, and the next week they are unable to stop anyone from gaining yards. Add to that the fact that the Bills have one of the worse rush defenses in the league and you have problems for Buffalo in this game.

Outlook and Pick: Bills Jets Betting
It really looked like the Buffalo Bills had something to build on a couple of weeks ago. But the performance against the Patriots put the Bills right back to square one. Rex Ryan may be ecstatic that his team lost its way into the playoffs, but if he doesn’t right the ship on offense then there will be no Super Bowl celebrations in the Big Apple when this season is over.
Stan’s Pick: New York Jets
