Buccaneers Giants Betting Tips – Defending Super Bowl Champs Look To Avoid Consecutive Losses
The New York Giants had their banner-raising night spoiled by the division rival Dallas Cowboys in week one. As much as that must have stung for Giants’ fans, dropping a second-consecutive game when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week would be even worse. Home for a second-straight week this Sunday when they will host the Buccaneers, New York will look to avoid falling to 0-2 before hitting the road for back-to-back stops at Carolina and Philadelphia the following two sports betting weeks.

NFL Betting Line: New York Giants – 7.5
Even though the Buccaneers are coming off a big win over Carolina week one, the Giants are listed as 7.5-point favorites for this contest. Whether or not that is a sign of what is to come or New York simply being overrated will be answered, and it is clear that even though they won Tampa Bay will have to be better this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers struggled to put away Cam Newton and the Panthers in a 16-10 win, a game that they led 13-0 at the break but failed to put away. It didn’t take long for new head coach Greg Schiano to establish that this will be a team that pounds the rock on offense and concentrates on stopping the run on defense, and it appears rookie running back Doug Martin will be the battering ram that leads the attack. Martin ran the ball 24 times for 95 yards and had four catches for 23 yards in the win, and by the second half Tampa Bay was just smashing the middle of the Panthers’ defense looking to wear them down with their newest weapon. The Buccaneers’ defense emerged from week one as the No. rush defense in the NFL despite going up against Newton and DeAngelo Williams, and should make this upcoming game very one-dimensional.
NFL Betting Preview: New York Giants
The Giants can’t run the ball anyway so that will put the ball in the hands of Eli Manning to do his thing in week two, although he will need his wide receivers to be more sure-handed this week after Victor Cruz and company dropped far too many balls a week ago. New York has the offensive weapons to challenge the Bucs through the air, but it will come down to execution and protecting the football. The Giants have one of the best front-sevens in the league and that will make it tough for Tampa Bay to run the ball the way they did against the Panthers. However, New York did look susceptible through the air against the Cowboys, and will have to deal with Vincent Jackson.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Josh Freeman and Jackson connected just four times against the Panthers, but that number could jump drastically in week two as the Buccaneers look to find ways to beat this New York defense. The Giants made too many mistakes and didn’t capitalize on enough of their opportunities to win in week one, and while they should bounce back and maybe even get a win in this game it simply does not make sense to expect them to cover this betting sites spread.NFL Betting Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
