Seahawks With Easy Task As Buccaneers Come To Town
The Seattle Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the worst. The Buccaneers are still looking for their first win of the year, but based off their play last week that is not much of a surprise. The Buccaneers struggle with the little things and make costly errors throughout the game, making them very unlikely to upset the Seahawks and surprise sports books everywhere.

What To Watch For From The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Since Mike Glennon took over as the team’s starting quarterback, the Buccaneers’ offense has gone straight downhill. Doug Martin was struggling mightily, before his shoulder injury that was, and the receiving corps as a whole has had troubles holding onto the ball. With Martin still out with his shoulder injury, rookie Mike James will get the start in the backfield after rushing 10 times for 39 yards last week. The Buccaneers clearly need to find a way to get their offense performing, but unfortunately their best hope lies with Glennon, who has been fairly inconsistent, and simply isn’t ready to be a franchise quarterback right now. The Buccaneers’ defense hasn’t been anything special either, but at least with DarrelleRevis, Mike Barron, and DashonGoldson in the secondary they can somewhat limit the Seahawks pass attempts this Sunday.
What To Watch For From The Seattle Seahawks
Although currently standing with a 7-1 record and averaging 26 points per game, the Seahawks’ offense hasn’t been very impressive through eight weeks of NFL action. The Seahawks rank fourth in the NFL in rushing yards per game, which isn’t surprising given they have Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson. The surprising number however is the 198 passing yards per game the Seahawks average which is concerning given the talent of their quarterback. The receiving corps for the Seahawks has battled some injuries as the team is still waiting for Percy Harvin to return, and just lost Sidney Rice for the season due to an ACL tear. That means Wilson will be limited to throwing to Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin this Sunday, which means it may be another lack-luster passing performance by the second-year quarterback.
The Seahawks are favored by a massive 16 points, and given the offensive weapons they are missing it makes me nervous to pick them over the Buccaneers. The Seahawks defense should limit the overall effectiveness of the Buccaneers on Sunday, but because of the lack of passing consistency I am choosing the Buccaneers to lose, but do so within 16 points and thus not allowing the Seahawks to cover the spread.
