Chargers Broncos Betting Predictions – Chargers Look To Avenge Week Six Collapse Versus Denver This Sunday
The San Diego Chargers have for the most part been a thorn in the side of Peyton Manning throughout his career. In his first sports betting game against them as a member of the Denver Broncos, the Chargers made sure that they gave him multiple chances to redeem himself. After holding Manning to 142 yards and an interception in building a 24-0 halftime lead, San Diego turned the ball over six times in the second half including three fourth-quarter interceptions from Phillip Rivers that allowed Manning and the Broncos to claw their way back to a 35-24 win. The comeback was the fourth largest in NFL history, and will be on the minds of the every Chargers player when they make their way to the Mile High to play Denver this Sunday.

NFL Betting Line: Denver Broncos – 7.5
Manning was a career-1-5 against San Diego during his time with the Indianapolis Colts, but ended up going from goat to hero in the week-six win. That victory sparked a four-game win streak that has led the Broncos to a two-game lead over San Diego in the AFC West, while the Chargers have lost two of three since.
NFL Betting Preview: San Diego Chargers
San Diego could have easily won five of its first six games, but they blew consecutive double-digit leads against the New Orleans Saints and Broncos to enter their bye week at .500, and have lost two of three since. Inconsistency has been the biggest problem for the Chargers all season, including erratic play on the road in three-straight losses at the Saints, Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. San Diego had Denver against the ropes before one of the worst halves of football in franchise history, but could end up on the other side of a close result if they can maintain a high level of play for a full four quarters as they look to avenge that loss this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Denver Broncos
The Broncos haven’t stopped rolling since the second half of that win at San Diego, and the key has been an offense that has been dominant ever since. Manning has thrown for 2,705 yards and 21 touchdowns for Denver’s third-ranked passing attack, and the Broncos have scored at least 31 points in each of their six wins. As long as Manning and the offense continue to put up solid totals their defense will be able to do enough to seal the victories. Denver has played some of its best football at home this season, but it will be interesting to see how Manning and the offense handle the transition as the weather cools at the Mile High this season.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For as inconsistent as the Chargers have been this season, this is easily the biggest game on their schedule to date and they should have plenty of motivation with the chance to avenge the week six-loss and close the gap to one game in the AFC West. Denver hasn’t faced much adversity since they last played San Diego, and while they have the talent and game plan to get the job done this game should be closer than most online betting experts are projecting it to be.
