Colts Chiefs Betting Predictions – Colts Look To Bounce Back Versus Chiefs; Clinch AFC Wild Card Spot
The Indianapolis Colts are one game away from clinching an AFC playoff spot. With a rematch against the AFC South champion Houston Texans to close out the regular season the following Sunday, the Colts will look to lock up a postseason position when they travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. Indianapolis had its three-game win streak snapped in a 29-17 loss at Houston this past Sunday, and while they could get in regardless of their own result based on what happens around the AFC this weekend, the Colts would like to take care of their own business ahead of its final contest.

NFL Betting Line:
The Chiefs certainly aren’t a very intimidating opponent, but wins over both the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers means the Colts can’t take anything for granted. The talent is there for Kansas City to compete in each of its games, even if the team hasn’t been able to execute to its potential this sports betting season.
NFL Betting Preview: Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis battled back from a 20-3 deficit to close the gap to six going in to the fourth quarter of last week’s loss to the Texans, but couldn’t complete the comeback in a game that sealed a division title for Houston. Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck continued to show his poise with 186 passing yards and two touchdowns, battling through a ton of pressure and five sacks to give his team a chance to win. The Colts will need to do a better job of protecting Luck this week, and it will come down to protection after running back Vick Ballard averaged 5.8 yards rushing for 105. Indianapolis surrendered 417 total yards to Houston and failed to shut them down in key spots, and while the Chiefs aren’t nearly as dangerous as the Texans on offense, the defense will need to be better if they are going to compete in the playoffs.
NFL Betting Preview: Kansas City Chiefs
An emotional win over the Panthers gave football fans in Kansas City hope that its team would finish strong, but any optimism that win generated has dissolved with consecutive losses to non-playoff teams, including last week’s 15-0 shutout against the Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs managed just 119 total yards against the Raiders despite just one turnover, a testament to how much the offense has struggled to move the ball. The defense held its own with some key stops to keep Kansas City in the game, but Oakland won the possession battle with 40:06-19-54, and the Chiefs never got going.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Even despite being one of the league’s youngest teams, the Colts have battled hard and exceeded expectations, showing resilience both on and off the field. Indianapolis did its best to keep it close with a very tough Houston team until late, and will look to take that next step this online sportsbook week by clinching a playoff spot against one of the worst teams in the NFL.
