Cowboys Cardinals Betting – Garrett Leads Cowboys In To The Desert Sunday
A 1-7 start to their season had the Dallas Cowboys out of the playoff picture at the midway point, but something interesting has happened since. Former head coach Wade Phillips was fired, and replaced by Jason Garrett, who has led the Cowboys to a 4-2 record since. Dallas has beaten both the `New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts, while their only two losses have come by a combined six points to the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and NFC East-division leading Philadelphia Eagles.

Online Sports Betting Odds: Dallas – 6
Garrett and the Cowboys will look to continue their solid play away from home, with consecutive road games against the Arizona Cardinals and Eagles to close out the season. The Cardinals have faced the harsh reality of just how important former Pro Bowl quarterback Kurt Warner was to the team’s success, having lost eight of their last nine and struggling to a 4-10 mark. Arizona will have a tough time improving that win mark with back-to-back games against the surging Cowboys and division rival San Francisco 49ers.
Why To Bet On The Cowboys?
Dallas has been great since Garrett took over, and earn extra marks for the fact that they have done well even with veteran quarterback Jon Kitna taking snaps. The Cowboys rank fourth in passing yards with an average of 266.4 per game, and have scored at least 27 points in every game since the team’ former offensive coordinator was promoted. Kitna threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas’ 33-30 win over the Washington Redskins, and with Felix Jones looking like the Pro Bowl back he was projected to be when the team made him a first round pick. The Cowboys’ defense hasn’t been great, but rather very opportunistic, and have done a great job forcing turnovers, including two timely interceptions against the Redskins.
Why To Bet On The Cardinals?
Arizona has been one of the worst teams in the league on both sides of the ball, ranking in the bottom-10 in nearly every significant statistical category. The Cardinals’ offense ranked among the best in the NFL with Warner under center last year, but rank in the bottom-two in both passing and rushing yards this season. Arizona has given John Skelton the chance at quarterback, but he hasn’t been much better throwing for just 196 yards and an interception in the team’s 19-12 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The NFL football betting spread is less than a touchdown, leaving there little reason to bet on the Cardinals.
How The Game Will Play Out?
The Cowboys will beat the Cardinals on both the ground and in the air, and if Kitna can avoid turning the ball over, this one could get out of hand in a hurry. Arizona has shown little promise regardless of who has been under center this season, and that will continue with another tough opponent this week at home.
