Eagles Giants Betting – Eagles Look To Keep Season Alive Against Giants
When it comes to expectations in the NFC East, no team has exceeded their billing more than the New York Giants, who have overcome a ton of injuries to key players on both sides of the ball to lead the division through the midway mark. In contrast, no NFC East team has disappointed more than the Philadelphia Eagles, which after several notable free agent signings were labeled the dream team, but now limp into this weekend’s divisional clash with their sports betting playoff hopes barely alive.

While the blame will go around to several different players, the truth is that the Eagles had more than a few chances to finish John Skelton and the Arizona Cardinals on their own home turf last week and couldn’t do it. Philadelphia has actually been better on the road this season, but they are going to have to fix a ton of problems to have any chance in this game.
Eagles Giants Betting Preview: Philadelphia Eagles
While the Eagles were beaten by a backup quarterback last week in Skelton, this week they may have to turn to their own in either Mike Kafka or Vince Young, as Michael Vick has been held out of practice with broken ribs. Vick suffered the injury in the first quarter of Philadelphia’s loss to the Cardinals, but remained in the game, so there is potential for him to start. Regardless of who is under center, the offensive line is going to have to do a better job of protecting their quarterback, and running back LeSean McCoy should see a heavy increase in touches. Philadelphia’s defense is known for taking too many risks, but with a weak linebacker core sometimes they have to. When those risks pay off, the Eagles have a chance, but when they don’t they can easily be buried.
Eagles Giants Betting Preview: New York Giants
The Giants’ defense is known for its ability to bring a ton of pressure, and Vick will have a bulls eye on his chest this week the moment he enters the game. New York has struggled against the run and should expect to see a ton of McCoy, so they need to tighten things up front. The offense continues to win and lose on the arm of Eli Manning as the Giants rank 5th in passing yards compared to just 29th overall in rushing yards. Manning made a couple of costly mistakes last week against San Francisco, but he should bounce back strong.
Eagles Giants Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Philadelphia has struggled to find consistency, and it won’t get any easier this week considering that the Giants haven’t lost consecutive games this season. The Eagles were exposed last week once again by an inexperienced quarterback, and if Manning can continue to show the form he has all year then New York should be an easy online wagering pick.Eagles Giants Betting Pick: New York Giants
