Falcons Seahawks Betting – Falcons Look To Soar Over Seahawks In Week Four
If there is one key factor that has seemed to limit the Atlanta Falcons in a pair of sports betting losses this season, it is that they have looked like too much of a finesse team so far when they have needed to get tough and fight in the trenches. The Falcons were muscled around by the Chicago Bears in a week one loss, and then faltered again against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in sloppy field conditions this past Sunday in their first loss to their NFC South rivals in six sports betting contests. Atlanta could face similar conditions this Sunday if the skies open up on the road against the Seattle Seahawks, and they will need to be prepared to grind one out if the weather demands it of them.

NFL Betting Lines: Atlanta Falcons – 4.5
Given the way that the Seahawks have performed this season, it is almost unbelievable that they have a win to fall back on through the first three games of the regular season. Seattle has looked awful for the majority of their 12 quarters on the gridiron, and if it weren’t for the Arizona Cardinals’ failure to contain quarterback Tarvaris Jackson on the ground a week ago, the Seahawks would still be searching for their first win.
NFL Betting Preview: Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have really struggled in the trenches on both sides of the ball this season, but particularly on the offensive line where they conceded three sacks, two hits, and 17 pressures in the loss at Tampa Bay. Atlanta will need to do a better job of allowing Matt Ryan to make plays downfield, while at the same time opening running lanes for Michael Turner on the ground. The Falcons feel they have the receiving group capable of dominating opponents through the air, but head coach Mike Smith might want to consider a stronger dose of the run until the line works things out a bit more thoroughly. On defense, Atlanta has struggled to contain the run, and when they do, it seems like they give up the big play through the air. The Falcons will need to tighten up in that respect, and should be able to get the job done against Seattle.
NFL Betting Preview: Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have no business being at 1-2 after gaining just 261 total yards against the Cardinals a week ago, but thanks to turnovers and a couple of big plays they are right in the thick of things in the thinnest division in the NFL. Seattle has struggled to move he ball through the air and on the ground, but they do have the potential to take advantage if they are able to at home. The Seahawks’ defense has been much better than the offense overall, but there is still a lot of work to do.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
This is a game that the Falcons simply need to have as they look to keep pace with the New Orleans Saints and Buccaneers in the NFC South, and it may take a little more grit to get the job done. Atlanta has the sports betting bonus talent on both sides of the ball, and now it becomes about coming together as a team and carrying out the game plan when it counts.
