Two Pass Heavy Teams Meet in Telling Third Preseason Game
Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons are a team with numerous weapons through the air, which makes them one of the best and most dangerous offenses in the league. Ryan has had weapons around him in Atlanta for a few years now, but after failing to win in the playoffs the pressure is on him as well as the team to make this year count. The Tennessee Titans on the other hand are giving the ball to the young Jake Locker this year and with no playoff expectations sports gamblers should keep an eye on Locker to see if he progresses throughout the season.

Odds: Titans -3
What To Watch For From The Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons will be without wide receiver Roddy White in this game, but Ryan will still have Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez to target while taking snaps. This will be Gonzalez’s first preseason game so sports books will be looking at his play to evaluate how impactful he will be for the Falcons in his 18th NFL season. Ryan however shouldn’t have much to worry about in this game as he has been doing well in the team’s previous two game and the focus in this game will be on the rookie cornerbacks the Falcons drafted. The Falcons knew they needed to upgrade their secondary and they addressed that need in the first two rounds of the draft and first round pick Desmond Trufant will likely see plenty of playing time in not only this preseason game, but also the regular season meaning his progression throughout the rest of the preseason will be critical for this team.
What To Watch For From The Tennessee Titans
With this being the third preseason game, and Locker having minimal experience running this offense in games that count, it is very likely he will see plenty of playing time against the Falcons. So far this preseason Locker has been solid but not outstanding and with a young receiving corps it is understandable. Nate Washington and Kenny Britt are the lone veterans, while Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright are the up and coming stars. The running game for this team is set with Chris Johnson, so expect the Titans to air out the ball with Locker in the game to get him and his young receivers some important reps. The Titans defense has given up almost 25 points per game this preseason, so expect to see plenty of substitutions early as the coaching staff will give players the opportunity to step-up and earn a starting spot.
The first half of this game will likely be high scoring with plenty of passes being thrown. Each team has their franchise quarterback in place the only difference is the experience levels of the two. The Falcons are a more polished team however and with rookie playmakers on the defensive side of the ball this game will be important for their young careers as Trufant and Robert Alford have the opportunity to earn playing time. The Titans will be an interesting team to watch because they are so young, but the Falcons are the smart sports betting pick in this match-up as well as in many of their regular season games.
