Giants Eagles Betting Tips – Vick, Eagles Need To Be More Efficient
Philadelphia Eagles’ head coach Andy Reid has said he will re-evaluate his quarterback play heading in to the team’s Sunday Night Football matchup against the division rival New York Giants. However, as much as Michael Vick has played an obvious role in the league-high 12 turnovers that the Eagles have committed through three games, the idea that Philadelphia will be able to take down the defending Super Bowl champions without their best player is something that Reid may need to think twice about. There is no denying the Eagles need Vick to be better, and there is no brighter spotlight than an NFC East rivalry game in primetime.

NFL Betting Line: Philadelphia Eagles – 1.5
Despite six interceptions and three lost fumbles, Vick has come up with some instrumental plays at key points in a pair of wins that have Philadelphia tied for the division lead. The Giants won’t make it easy on them with one of the best pass rushes in the NFL, and how Vick and Reid adapt and respond will be crucial to the outcome of this sports betting game.
NFL Betting Preview: New York Giants
The New York defense will once again need a pass rush led by Justin Tuck, Jason Pierre-Paul, and Osi Umenyiora to generate pressure up front, particularly with some injury concerns in the secondary with cornerback Corey Webster and safety Antrel Rolle both banged up. The Giants did an excellent job containing last season’s NFL Rookie of the Year Cam Newton in week three, and can really help their cause by forcing Vick and company in to the turnovers that have plagued them so far. The New York offense should be able to hold its own with wide receiver Hakeem Nicks set to return to the lineup. Quarterback Eli Manning has already thrown for over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns, and running back Andre Brown has 184 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just 33 carries in place of the injured Ahmad Bradshaw.
NFL Betting Preview: Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles’s defense is ranked third against the pass this season compared to just 16th against the run, so it will be interesting to see how they fare against Manning and a more balanced Giants’ attack. Philadelphia can certainly help take some of the pressure off the offense by forcing Manning to make mistakes, as even the reigning Super Bowl MVP had three interceptions in the first half of an online betting win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago. The Eagles will also benefit of they can get running back LeSean McCoy going on offense. McCoy has averaged just over 85 yards a game on the ground through the first three contests, and Philadelphia could decide to use him more inside early on to help keep the pass-rush off of Vick.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
These division rivals split their two meetings in last year’s series with the Giants taking the first meeting and Philadelphia bouncing back to win the second, but the Eagles have won six of the last seven overall and have gotten the best of Manning throughout his career. While Philadelphia cannot continue to turn the ball over the way they have and expect to win, the fact that they have been able to secure two victories including one over a very talented opponent in the Baltimore Ravens despite the mistakes is a strong sign this team can take of business. Vick seems to thrive when the critics are their loudest, and this could be the harshest they have been since he returned to the NFL three years ago.NFL Betting Pick: Philadelphia Eagles
