How To Bet On Bengals Chiefs – Second Half of the Season Looks Just as Bad for Chiefs as First
Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday November 18, 2012 1:00PM EST
The NFL betting experts are starting to feel genuinely sorry for the Kansas City Chiefs as the 2012 season moves forward. The Chiefs had such high expectations when the season started. The team had put extremely popular head coach Romeo Crennel in place and quarterback Matt Cassel was healthy to start the season. But a couple of blowout losses early in the season indicated to the Chiefs’ fans that this was going to be yet another long season in Kansas City. The Chiefs cannot seem to do anything right and none of that looks to be improving as the team welcomes the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals surprised everyone in week 10 by beating the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants. But as the betting sites broke down the game, the Cincinnati victory seemed more likely. The New York defense has been struggling for weeks and the New York offense has been turning over the football and dropping passes for a few games now. All the Bengals had to do is put pressure on quarterback Eli Manning and the Giants slowly fell apart. Giants’ receiver Victor Cruz dropped a few more passes and the Giants were done. Cincinnati played a smart game, and it will do the same thing in Kansas City.
Why the Chiefs Will Win
The sportsbook experts have been crunching the numbers and it does not look good for the Chiefs in this game. The Chiefs’ offense is the key to winning this game for Kansas City. If the Chiefs’ offense can stay on the field, then Kansas City avoids the very lopsided battle between its defense and Cincinnati’s offense. Judging by how the Bengals handled the Giants’ offense in week 10, the Chiefs definitely have its work cut out for it in this game.
Why the Bengals Will Win
The Cincinnati offense exploded in week 10 and showed how it looks when top draft picks click together on the same offense. The only problem the Bengals may have is if its defense decides to start playing like it did the first nine weeks of the season. The defense we saw from Cincinnati in week 10 was effective, calculating and dominating. If the Bengals can keep that kind of performance up the rest of the season, then the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers may want to keep a watch over their shoulders in the AFC North.
The Bottom Line
The Chiefs will have to play a flawless game to win in week 11, but Kansas City could run into a Cincinnati team that makes a lot of mistakes. This game could truly go either way, but the Bengals have the better team and should be able to come out of this game with a win.
