How To Bet On Broncos Chiefs – Denver Starts to Run Away with Division
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday November 25, 2012 1:00PM EST
The sports betting experts had all agreed that, as long as Peyton Manning’s injured neck had actually healed, the Denver Broncos were going to be a force to reckon with in the NFL. It took three or four games to determine if Manning had healed and for him to knock the rust off his game, but Peyton Manning looks fully functional and ready to play. That is music to the Broncos’ fans ears, but it is just about the worst thing the rest of the AFC West could have imagined.
The Kanas City Chiefs reached the desperation point when it made the switch at quarterback from Matt Cassel to Brady Quinn. When Quinn was injured in his first start and Cassel was put back in as quarterback, the NFL betting experts figured that the Chiefs would backtrack and wind up putting Cassel back in as the starter. That is exactly what happened, and now the Kansas City Chiefs are adrift for the remainder of the 2012 season in the hopes that the season may end before the 17th week so that the Chiefs can crawl back into the depths of Arrowhead Stadium and start all over.
Why the Broncos Will Win
With running back Willis McGahee gone for the season with an injury, the Broncos run the risk of abandoning the running game and relying completely on Peyton Manning for wins. The betting public is not so sure that Peyton Manning alone will be enough on offense to win a Super Bowl, but most people are pretty confident that a Peyton Manning-centered offense will be more than enough to handle the Chiefs in this game. With the Chargers and Raiders struggling to win games as well, this game can mark the beginning of the point when the Broncos ran away with the AFC West.
Why the Chiefs Will Win
The Chiefs actually have a pretty simple task in this game. If the Kansas City defensive line can just put a little pressure on Peyton Manning, then the Chiefs may have a chance at winning this game. Since Manning is the only offensive weapon that the Broncos will have to offer, it makes sense that the Chiefs’ one open door is to neutralize the Broncos passing game. The problem that Kansas City will run into is that Manning and his receivers are so in sync that it may be almost impossible to knock them out of it.
The Bottom Line
The Denver Broncos had weathered the initial weeks of the season and now the reward should be smooth sailing to the playoffs. The only thing that Denver has to do is keep Peyton Manning healthy and there is no telling how far this team can really go when the post-season finally begins.
