How To Bet On Buccaneers Panthers – Bucs Stay On Track with Divisional Win
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers – Sunday November 18, 2012 1:00PM EST
The NFL betting world is still giving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers time to develop and get its new players into its system. But if Tampa keeps going at the pace it is going at, then it is not going to need a whole lot of time to adjust and become a playoff contender. The combination of rookie running backs, veteran wide receivers and a young quarterback has created an offense that is putting up points at a pace that is surprising even to the Bucs. The Tampa defense is becoming extremely opportunistic and is starting to put up points of its own. This is going to be a very good Tampa Bay team as it continues to develop.
The Carolina Panthers should be a better team than the team last year, but it is not. The betting websites are a bit surprised at the manner in which second-year quarterback Cam Newton is conducting himself on the sidelines and in post-game interviews. The Panthers need an upbeat leader who is ready to defy the odds and lead the team to the playoffs. Newton has chosen to go the exact opposite route and become a gloomy presence in the locker room that is neither inspiring nor a leader. All of that puts the Panthers in a really bad position.
Why the Buccaneers Will Win
The online casino players are not yet ready to say that the Buccaneers is a playoff team, but Tampa Bay is really close to being what it wants to be. The decision to keep Josh Freeman as quarterback is turning out to be the right choice as Freeman and wide receiver Vincent Jackson are starting to gel together well. The Tampa defense is putting pressure on the passer and it is also closing up the lanes in the secondary which is making it difficult for opposing passers to find open receivers. All of these conditions come together to give Cam Newton a really hard time in this game.
Why the Panthers Will Win
Cam Newton has a lot of potent offensive weapons around him. What he needs to do is stop pouting and start finding ways to make those weapons work together and score points. Wide receiver Steve Smith stayed in Carolina to be Newton’s primary receiver and Newton needs to start using Smith to his full potential. If Newton can snap out of it, then the Panthers can win this game.
The Bottom Line
Someone on the Panthers’ sideline needs to stop Cam Newton from getting into that “here we go again” feeling every time the Panthers get behind. The Buccaneers will take a lead in this game, but that should not stop the Panthers from playing hard. It shouldn’t stop the Panthers, but it will.
