How To Bet On Dolphins Colts – Colts Start to Show Even More Improvement
Miami Dolphins @ Indianapolis Colts – Sunday November 4, 2012 1:00PM EST
The online football betting experts are impressed with the improvements made by both the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts this season. Both teams have put their trust in rookie quarterbacks and, so far, that trust has been rewarded. The Dolphins are a relatively young team with a corps of veterans that should be able to help keep the rookies in line. So far, it looks like the Miami roster is mixing together very well and working hard to get the job done. The problems started when rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured last week and Matt Moore had to step in. The drop-off at quarterback was apparent immediately.
The Colts are a completely different story. Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay did the most public dismantling of a team that the online betting world has ever seen. Every key offensive veteran, with the exception of wide receiver Reggie Wayne, was released or not signed to a new contract. The Colts literally started over again and the results have been amazing. Indianapolis is so impressed with its progress on offense that the general consensus is that the team will do the same thing on defense for the 2013 season. That will make things very interesting next year for the Colts.
Why the Dolphins Will Win
The Miami Dolphins have shown amazing development with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill under center. The extent of his injury from week eight has not been revealed, but he is expected to start in this game. The Dolphins are a completely different team with Tannehill under center and that is meant in a good way. Tannehill has a way of seeing the entire field and getting the ball out to open receivers on a regular basis. With running back Reggie Bush pushing the ground attack forward, the Dolphins look to be on quite a roll.
Why the Colts Will Win
It is amazing to realize that the rookie offense of the Colts is covering for the veteran defense. The sportsbook experts do not need to watch the Colts for very long to realize that Indianapolis is, once again, an offensively-minded team. Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck is everything he was advertised to be and much more. The Colts are finding rookie gems all over the offense including at receiver, running back and on the offensive line. With veteran wide receiver schooling Luck this season, the Colts’ offense is in very good hands.
The Bottom Line
The Dolphins are showing vast improvement over last season, but the team still needs to solidify its defensive identity. The pass rush is unpredictable and the secondary is still giving up big plays. Both the Colts and the Dolphins are only a few players away from being playoff contenders, but the Colts seem to be ahead of the curve for now.
