How To Bet On Raiders Ravens – Ravens Look To Avoid Letdown Versus Visiting Raiders
The Baltimore Ravens battled injuries and adversity to finish with the best record in the AFC North in the first half of the NFL regular season. Finishing as strong as they started will be just as tough for the Ravens, beginning with a visit from the Oakland Raiders this Sunday. Playing down to the level of lesser competition cost Baltimore some questionable losses a year ago, and the main goal heading in to this game will be avoiding a similar letdown in a sports betting game that the Ravens should win.

NFL Betting Line: Baltimore Ravens – 7.5
The Raiders enter this contest on the heels of a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in which they gave up a season-high 42 points including four touchdowns by running back Dough Martin. It won’t get any easier for Oakland this week as it faces a Baltimore offense that is led by Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice.
NFL Betting Preview: Oakland Raiders
The Raiders allowed Martin to run for 251 yards and four scores, in addition to the four catches for 21 yards he had against them in one of the biggest single-game performances of the season. Tightening up on the defensive side of the ball will be the priority for a team that had won back-to-back games before blowing an excellent opportunity at home against Tampa Bay, particularly with two of the next three on the road. Oakland certainly didn’t have many issues on the offensive side of the ball, although quarterback Carson Palmer did throw three interceptions while passing for 414 yards and four scores.
NFL Betting Preview: Baltimore Ravens
There was no letdown for the Ravens Sunday against the Browns, a win in which they trailed by one point early in the fourth before rallying for 10 unanswered points. Rice once again topped the 100-yard mark rushing and receiving, and Baltimore forced two turnovers in the win. Both turnovers were interceptions, including one from safety Ed Reed, who continues to perform at a high level. The loss of both linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Ladarius Webb will hurt the Ravens in the long run, but they do have enough talent on that side of the ball to compete with the Raiders at least for this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For as bad as the Ravens’ defense looked in a loss to the Houston Texans three weeks ago, it bounced back with an impressive performance against the Browns and has a good matchup against the turnover-prone Raiders. Baltimore should have no problem scoring points as long as they commit to the run game the way that the Buccaneers did last week, when Martin provided the perfect online sportsbook blueprint for what the Ravens should do with Rice this Sunday.
