How To Bet On Seahawks Panthers – Newton, Panthers Look To Ground Seahawks This Sunday
The Carolina Panthers have all of the weapons on the offensive side of the ball to win in the NFL. The challenge now is to put all of those weapons together and perform with a level of consistency, while getting something from a defense that ranks in the bottom-third of the league against both the run and pass. After back-to-back losses to the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons, Cam Newton and the Panthers return home for a date against a Seattle Seahawks’ team that could very well be 1-3 right now as well. This will be Carolina’s final game before its bye week, and the result of this game could prove crucial to its season with the chance to improve to 2-3 or fall to 1-4.

NFL Betting Line: Carolina Panthers – 3
The Seahawks couldn’t parlay the momentum off that big win over the Green Bay Packers on their trip to St. Louis to face the Rams, as rookie quarterback Russell Wilson threw three interceptions in a 19-13 loss. The worst case scenario for Seattle is what happened last week when Wilson tried to do too much, something that can’t happen going forward.
NFL Betting Preview: Seattle Seahawks
In order to keep Wilson from pressing, the Seahawks are going to need to run the ball effectively and avoid the obvious third and long passing situations that will leave him vulnerable. Wilson’s overall numbers aren’t bad with a 60-percent completion rate and 594 passing yards, but the three interceptions in one game give him four on the sports betting year, which matches his four passing touchdowns. Seattle will look to take some pressure off of Wilson with a steady dose of Marshawn Lynch and the run game on offense, while the defense will be tasked with containing the reigning NFL Rookie of the Year in Newton.
NFL Betting Preview: Carolina Panthers
Newton’s success a year ago had to have changed the way that teams viewed their rookie passers, and could have had a direct impact on the Seahawks’ decision to go with Wilson. Newton has already thrown for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for three more scores this season, but he still needs to do a better job of protecting the football after throwing five interceptions and fumbling twice in just four games. The return of Jonathan Stewart to the lineup helped in terms of both Stewart’s production and better numbers from DeAngelo Williams the past couple of games. The Panthers’ defense has allowed at least 27 points in three-straight games, so Newton and the offense will have their work cut out for them.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
With only a field goal separating these teams in the online sportsbook spread, it seems like betting against Newton and the Panthers would be a big mistake. Carolina has a ton of weapons on the offensive side of the ball and cam very close to knocking off the undefeated Atlanta Falcons a week ago before just coming up short. The Seahawks on the other hand own the better defense, but it isn’t strong enough to overcome an offense that is still looking to perform consistently.
