NFL Football Betting: Week 13 NFL Preview
Back to normal this week with no extended Thanksgiving action. It looks like a pretty good card to even if we are stuck with the NFC East on Monday night. I am really intrigued by the Vikings and Seahawks. A great chance for Minnesota to prove if they are for real.
Sunday December 6
Seattle Seahawks vs Minnesota Vikings
You just can’t write off this Seahawks team. They are now just 6-5 but it really wouldn’t surprise if they won their final five games and stormed into the playoffs as the favourite. Minnesota is hoping they are going to get back to their inconsistent form so they can pad their lead in the NFC North. It is a huge advantage that the Seahawks will be without key offensive weapons Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham. That means they will have to rely on some unsung players and that has generally been when they are at their best. This is a hard call but I just believe in Seattle more than I do in Minnesota right now.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders got off to a good start but have slipped lately winning only one of their last four. This is a huge home game against one of the teams they are chasing for a Wild Card spot in the Chiefs. The big question mark for Oakland is what kind of performance are they going to get from their defense. When it is solid they can compete on offense thanks to the development of Derek Carr. I really don’t like this Chiefs team but they find a way to win - five straight. Oakland is good value at home as an underdog.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
There is no line yet for this one due to the uncertain status of Ben Roethlisberger who left last week’s loss with a concussion. Looks like it will be a battle of backups as Colts QB Andrew Luck is likely still out too. Last year these teams combined for more than 80 points in a Pittsburgh win but I wouldn’t count on those kind of fireworks again. It should still be a good game though as both teams will look to push it, even with their backups leading the way. Indy has the more reliable one if not the better overall team.
Monday December 7
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins
They keep giving us these divisional games on Monday night. They should be situations where we get to see a decent grudge match but it helps if the teams are in the hunt too. Oops, I guess I have to qualify the Redskins as such given they are currently tied for first with a sub .500 record. That means this is a critical game for them and they get a Dallas team that has to be down a little now that Tony Romo is out for the season. Washington is probably better than you think but they won’t have to be all that good to beat a depleted Dallas team. Take the Redskins at home.
