Patriots Top List Of Best Underdog Bets For NFL Week 11
11 AFC teams have five wins or more heading in to week 11 of the NFL season and that means that there is plenty of drama and excitement on its way over the second half. The New England Patriots and Houston Texans are two teams in the thick of the AFC playoff race and with both teams getting points on the road it’s no surprise they are on our list of the top underdog bets for week 11.
Houston Texans (+3) @ Cleveland Browns
Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
Houston is a game below .500 at 4-5 but has shown flashes of its potential throughout the season and is looking to rally this week in Cleveland coming off its bye. The Texans have made the switch at quarterback to Ryan Mallett and while he won’t exactly scare anyone it has to be considered an upgrade over the inconsistent play of Ryan Fitzpatrick. The key to Houston’s success is still a strong run game and tough defense that should get a boost with Jadeveon Clowney, Brian Cushing, and JJ Watt all getting a week to rest and get back to full strength. Meanwhile, Cleveland is feeling confident following a big win over the Cincinnati Bengals but has to avoid a trap this weekend. The Browns can’t afford to be too confident against a very good Houston team and with the Texans getting three points they are a solid underdog play in a game they could very well win straight up.
Pick: Houston +3
Philadelphia Eagles (+5.5) @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
The Packers beat up on the rival Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football last week but the latter didn’t exactly look interested in competing in that game and pretty much rolled over. Now Green Bay is listed as a 5.5-point favorite against another team that appears playoff-bound in the Eagles but this will be a much tougher test. Philadelphia has won back-to-back games including its own blowout win over Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers last week and suddenly Mark Sanchez looks like a very good quarterback. Sanchez will need to take advantage of a very average Green Bay defense and if he does and the Eagles can slow down Aaron Rodgers then Philadelphia should be able to keep this game within reach on the road.
Pick: Philadelphia +5.5
New England Patriots (+3) @ Indianapolis Colts
Sunday, 8:30 PM ET
The game of the week features a clash at the top of the AFC with the Colts looking to leapfrog New England for one of the top two seeds but don’t expect Tom Brady and company to let Indianapolis walk all over them. Brady has heard about Andrew Luck and what he has done in his short career and it seems as though he has played with an edge in the Patriots last two wins over the Colts. New England has an excellent record coming off a bye under head coach Bill Belichick and they will find a way to keep that going as three-point underdogs in a game they will win straight up this week.
Pick: New England +3
