NFL Fantasy Betting - Week 1 fantasy matchups

NFL fantasy betting is back for another season at betonline.com. If you don’t want to tie yourself into a full NFL season’s worth of action just to win some measly pool, get your money in on our weekly fantasy matchups, which pay out much sooner.

The matchups for Week One are up in the sportsbook and below is the scoring system to follow:

6 points for any type of touchdown
1 point for every 10 yards (all purpose)

Matchup 1:
Team Manning -130
Team Brady EVEN

Tom Brady (NE)
Ryan Grant (GB)
Steven Jackson (STL)
Randy Moss (NE)
Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ)
Tony Gonzalez (ATL)

vs

Peyton Manning (IND)
LaDainian Tomlinson (SD)
Adrian Peterson (MIN)
Reggie Wayne (IND)
T.J. Houshmanzadeh (SEA)
Antonio Gates (SD)

Online betting cappers might be inclined to take the value with Team Brady in this matchup, but that’s not the best choice. The Patriots do host Buffalo this week, which means they should put up tons of points, and with Randy Moss and Brady together, they should have a field day. But Team Manning has better running backs as Adrian Peterson is heading to Cleveland and LaDainian Tomlinson is facing Oakland. It’s a close call but look for the running backs to make the difference.

NFL Fantasy Betting Pick: Team Manning -130

Matchup 2:
Team Romo -150
Team Rivers +120

Tony Romo (DAL)
Brandon Jacobs (NYG)
Marion Barber (DAL)
Terrell Owens (BUF)
Chad Ochocinco (CIN)
Jason Witten (DAL)

vs

Philip Rivers (SD)
Clinton Portis (WAS)
Matt Forte (CHI)
Calvin Johnson (DET)
Vincent Jackson (SD)
Dallas Clark (IND)

NFL betting fans should expect another close matchup here as the teams look dead even. Tony Romo, Marion Barber and Terrell Owens lead Team Romo, and they should have all have solid days against Tampa Bay. Terrell Owens may be a non-factor as he faces the Patriots, though.

Team Rivers should be solid as well, as Rivers and Vincent Jackson will put up their share of points against a horrible Oakland Raiders defense. NFL fantasy betting sharps know that playing the Raiders defense makes it as easy as possible. Calvin Johnson should have a good day in a shootout against New Orleans, while Dallas Clark always gets his share.

NFL Fantasy Betting Pick: Team Rivers +120

Matchup 3:
Team Brees -150
Team Warner +120

Drew Brees (NO)
Ronnie Brown (MIA)
Frank Gore (SF)
Marques Colston (NO)
Andre Johnson (HOU)
Owen Daniels (HOU)

vs

Kurt Warner (ARZ)
Michael Turner (ATL)
DeAngelo Williams (CAR)
DeSean Jackson (PHI)
Greg Jennings (GB)
John Carlson (SEA)

NFL fantasy betting fans should take Team Brees in this matchup. Ronnie Brown should have a solid day against a makeshift Falcons defense in Week 1 while Frank Gore will move the ball for San Francisco against Arizona. Marques Colston and Andre Johnson are among the two best receivers in the NFL and both have good matchups at home this week.

NFL Fantasy Betting Pick: Team Brees -150
