Packers Seahawks Betting Predictions – Packers Get Game In Tune On The Road
Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks – Monday September 24, 2012 8:30PM EST
The Green Bay Packers definitely did not want to open the season with a home loss, especially to the San Francisco 49ers because the Pack will probably see the 49ers in the playoffs. But the online sports betting enthusiasts watched as the Packers stumbled its way to an opening day home loss to the 49ers. There was a lot of talk from the Packers during the week that followed about getting focus back to help get the team get back on the winning path. In week two, the Packers embarrassed the Chicago Bears and that winning look was back in quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ eyes. The Pack was back and it was looking to continue the momentum it started in week two.
The Seattle Seahawks surprised the online football betting world by really putting it to the Dallas Cowboys in week two. Seahawks fans can take heart in knowing that its team is improving and could be headed in the direction of being a playoff contender. But the Seahawks and its rookie quarterback Russell Wilson are going to have all they can handle when a determined Green Bay team comes to town.
Green Bay Packers
Players and coaches talk about how difficult it is to play in Seattle because of the fan noise. The Packers know all about fan noise because Lambeau Field is also one of the louder stadiums in the league. The Packers are anxious to get back on the field and continue to capitalize on all of the good things it did against the Bears. The Seattle defense is not going to be able to offer the same resistance that the Bears’ defense did, and that will be a big factor in this game.
It was a surprise to the betting world when the Seahawks picked rookie Russell Wilson to start at quarterback over veteran Matt Flynn. But Wilson has responded to the decision and looks better and better every week. The Cowboys have an aggressive defense that Wilson was able to avoid in week two. The Packers’ defense is aggressive and fast, which is a combination that Wilson has not seen yet. To add to that, the Seattle defense just does not have the secondary to contain Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ passing game.
The Bottom Line
The Seahawks and its fans have a lot to look forward to in the years to come. But the Green Bay Packers are ready to come to the Great Northwest and give the Seahawks a lesson on winning in the NFL that the Seahawks will, hopefully, never forget.
