Saints At Home Versus Panthers In Key NFC South Showdown Sunday Night
The New Orleans Saints haven’t lost consecutive games all season. They will be in tough to extend that run this weekend against a division rival that took both meetings against them a year ago. New Orleans is set to host the Carolina Panthers in the first of two online sports betting meetings between these clubs over the next three weeks this Sunday night, a marquee matchup with the two teams tied for first in the NFC South at 9-3. The Saints are undefeated at home this season with six-straight wins, but rebounding from Monday night’s blowout loss at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks won’t be easy.

NFL Sports Betting Line: New Orleans – 3
The Panthers took both meetings against New Orleans last year and will be looking to take a page out of the Seahawks’ books when they take the field at the Superdome this weekend. Carolina has won four-straight on the road and eight-straight overall thanks in big part to a dominant defense that will look to be the difference.
NFL Betting Preview: Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have allowed a league-low 13.1 points per game this season, and the 289.8 yards they have given up per game is second-best in the NFL. The defensive line has been absolutely dominant at times, and that has allowed the group as a whole to thrive. For as much pressure as the Carolina defense tries to get on Drew Brees this weekend, there is still a different kind of pressure on Cam Newton to step up in hostile territory and do enough to secure the win. The Panthers own the ninth-ranked rushing attack thanks to Newton and the trio of DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Mike Tolbert, but they rank just 27th when it comes to moving the ball through the air and need more balance.
NFL Betting Preview: New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees certainly understands what he will have to do to help his team win against Carolina, and the league’s third-ranked passing attack will now face the Panthers twice in three weeks. Brees can top the 4,000-yard passing mark with 206 yards this week, and he has already thrown 29 touchdown passes. The bigger question mark is how the New Orleans defense will fare against the Carolina offense, especially after struggling against the run versus Seattle last week. The Saints rank 16th against the run having given up an average of 113.2 rushing yards per game this season, and must be better this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Few would have projected these two online betting contests between New Orleans and Carolina to determine which teams wins the NFC South, but both teams are right there fighting for the division and one of the top two seeds in the conference. The Panthers have played some excellent football, but the Saints have yet to lose back-to-back games and are still perfect at home, so it makes sense to roll with Brees and Who Dat nation.
