Why Arizona Will Win
When an online casino flourishes, it does so because cards come up in unexpected moments.
The Cardinals are just the latest team to go to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. You might think coach Ken Whisenhunt's team has no shot, but realize that two bad teams, the Carolina Panthers and the Oakland Raiders, have almost won in Atlanta this season. Carolina needed just one late-game yard to beat the Falcons, but Carolina head coach Ron Rivera punted, giving Atlanta one more possession, a possession the Falcons turned into a game-winning score. Oakland tied Atlanta late in regulation, but the Falcons bombed through a field goal by kicker Matt Bryant to escape without need for overtime. Arizona has a puncher's chance in the Georgia Dome this weekend. The Cardinals, if they can stand tall on defense in the red zone, can limit Atlanta's scoring output and win a 19-16 kind of game.
Why Atlanta Will Win
In the high-stakes poker contest that is the NFL, you need a calm presence on the field, a voice of reason who can overcome his own mistakes and display the leadership needed to lead a team to victory. Matt Ryan is that man – he has certainly become that kind of field general for head coach Mike Smith and the rest of the Falcons. Ryan is not playing all that well at the moment. The Falcons' offense has failed to finish a number of drives in recent weeks and – though not terrible – is certainly not clicking the way it can. Yet, Ryan is playing through the ups and downs of each and every gameday situation. He is dealing with imperfection by finding ways to win, doing whatever it takes to push his team over the top.
With this kind of leadership, Atlanta is in good stead as it prepares to host an Arizona side that is simply not very good, chiefly because of its enormous losses on the offensive line this season. The Cardinals have seen one offensive lineman after another go down like dominoes in 2012. The Cardinals might have been a playoff contender before the season, and they might have looked really good when they started this season 4-0, but they're simply not the same team. They just don't have the resources needed to keep up with a quality team such as the Falcons.
Who Will Win
It’s possible that Arizona could create some intrigue, if only because the NFL can be a tough league to figure out, but Atlanta should be motivated to play particularly well after losing to New Orleans this past weekend. The Falcons should surge on their home field and win big.
