Predictions For Betting On Lions Cardinals – Lions, Cardinals Clash With Combined 14-Straight Losses Between Them
The Detroit Lions’ losing streak was extended to five-straight games when they dropped a 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. Now the Lions are hoping a trip to the desert to play the lowly Arizona Cardinals will be what they need to get back in the win column. Detroit has lost three of its last four by four points or less, but are favored to win this week against a Cardinals’ team coming off a 58-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, their ninth-straight loss following a 4-0 start to the sports betting season.

NFL Betting Line: Detroit Lions – 6
The playoff hopes for each of these teams were derailed in a hurry following quick starts, but with14-straight losses between the two teams, both still want to finish strong. The Lions have certainly been the better team of late despite not getting the results they wanted, but that won’t mean much once they land in Arizona.
NFL Betting Preview: Detroit Lions
It’s hard to imagine that the league’s top-ranked passing attack hasn’t been enough to keep Detroit in contention, as it has fallen to 4-9 despite averaging a league-high 307 passing yards per game. Matt Stafford has thrown for 4,006 yards and 17 touchdowns, but he has also thrown five interceptions over the team’s five-straight losses. The absence of a consistent rushing attack has plagued the Lions all season, and while the defense still ranks in the top-third of the league against both the run and pass it has allowed at least 34 points in three of the last five games.
NFL Betting Preview: Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals certainly haven’t been any better overall, following up a 7-6 loss to the New York Jets with the 58-0 blowout at the hands of the division rival Seahawks, a team they beat 20-16 back in their season opener. Arizona ranks near the bottom of the NFL in both pass and rush offense, and will likely turn back to Ryan Lindley after he replaced John Skelton following a four-interception performance by the latter in last week’s loss. Avoiding turnovers will be key for the Cardinals if they are going to finish strong, and they could definitely benefit from a more consistent rushing attack. Larry Fitzgerald had just one catch for two yards in last week’s loss, and it’s scary to consider the talent that Arizona has wasted with the potential Hall of Fame receiver this season.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For as bad as the Cardinals looked last week, they should be able to do better than a 58-point shutout loss at home against Detroit this week. However, the online sportsbook market must have already taken that in to account with the Lions favored by less than a touchdown, and after coming up short against some of the best the NFC has to offer, Detroit should be able to get back on track this Sunday and snap its five-game slide.
