Raiders Seahawks Betting – Pryor Debuts For Winless Raiders In Preseason Finale At Seattle
After clinching a division title and winning a playoff game in head coach Pete Carroll’s first season as head coach, the Seattle Seahawks were expected to take another step forward in year two. The NFC West champions brought in a couple of key free agents including wide receiver Sidney Rice and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, but so far this preseason neither move has paid off. In fact, rather than progressing it appears as though the Seahawks could be regressing, and after consecutive preseason losses Seattle will now try to wrap up the exhibition schedule with a sports betting win to set the tone for their regular season opener.

NFL Betting Lines: Seattle Seahawks – 3.5
While the Seahawks have struggled with consistency this preseason, the Raiders have been very consistent only in all the wrong ways. Oakland is winless through its first three preseason games and while the team has shown flashes, there are still too many question marks heading into their final exhibition game.
NFL Betting Preview: Oakland Raiders
The Raiders were expected to be improved this season after going 8-8 in 2010, which actually would have won Seattle’s division after the Seahawks won the NFC West with a 7-9 record. Things aren’t nearly as easy in the AFC West where Oakland has to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers, but they do have some key pieces that can get them over the .500 mark if they play to their potential. The defense has looked suspicious following the departure of Nnamdi Asomugha, and that loss could be underestimated at this point. Meanwhile on offense, Jason Campbell has shown flashes but hasn’t developed as consistently as some had projected. The Raiders will get their first look at Terrelle Pryor in an NFL game, and he will need to make an impression before serving a five-game suspension beginning after this contest.
NFL Betting Preview: Seattle Seahawks
With Campbell and Pryor both capable of moving around in the pocket or scrambling, the Seahawks’ linebackers will get a good test working the quarterback spy. Seattle lacked a great pass rush a year ago and that allowed opposing quarterbacks to take advantage of a suspect secondary all year, and that doesn’t appear to have changed much this preseason. The Seahawks continue to push Jackson ahead of Charlie Whitehurst despite the fact that the latter might be the better option, and this game is the perfect opportunity for Whitehurt to show the staff one more time that he is the more qualified player to start for Seattle this sports betting bonus year.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
NFL fans won’t have to go looking to find a reason to watch this game, as Pryor looks to prove to the world why he deserves to play in this league in just one game. Pryor has all of the tools to be a Pro Bowl quarterback, but he needs to make some major adjustments to succeed at this level. The same was said about Jackson when he was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and he still hasn’t completed that transition, so buyer beware when gambling on such a unique prospect. Look for Whitehurst to be the ultimate difference-maker in this game, as the Seahawks close out the preseason at .500 while the Raiders remain winless.
