Rams Cowboys Betting Tips – Cowboys Welcome Rams To Town For Week Three
The starters for the Dallas Cowboys have exited each of their first two games with the lead, and as far as head coach Jason Garrett is concerned that means they are 2-0 this preseason. While a field goal was enough to beat the Oakland Raiders in their preseason opener, the Cowboys did better this past week when the first-string unit took a 10-0 lead in to halftime against the San Diego Chargers. The Dallas offense is dealing with injuries to Miles Austin, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant, which makes Saturday’s football betting game more about finding depth than generating momentum for the regular season when the Cowboys host the St. Louis Rams this Saturday.

NFL Betting Pick: Dallas Cowboys -5
The Rams bounced back strong after being blown away by Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in their opener, taking the other side of a big win as they rode a 14-0 start against the Kansas City Chiefs to an eventual 31-17 victory. St. Louis has made big strides in a short time under new head coach Jeff Fisher, and while that progress is key this is a franchise that also wants to see results regardless of preseason or not.

That drive to win should have the Rams fired up to play at Cowboys Stadium the same way they were when Sam Bradford threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first quarter of last week’s win over the Chiefs. Bradford has the tools to be an elite NFL passer, but St. Louis is still trying to find weapons that can help raise his potential for this season. The Rams have a couple of quality running backs in Stephen Jackson and rookie Isaiah Pead, although the rookie struggled against Kansas City. The defense responded after the beatdown they received from Luck and the Colts with five sacks and an interception in last week’s win, and will look to get after another quality offense in Dallas this week.
NFL Betting Preview: Dallas Cowboys
How long Garrett leaves his starters in for will be an interesting storyline to follow, especially on the offensive side of the ball where injuries are beginning to take their toll. The Cowboys already know what they have in guys like Tony Romo, Austin, and Bryant, and it will be the defensive side of the ball that needs the most work. Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan brought in a ton of new talent in the offseason with cornerbacks Brandon Carr and rookie Morris Claiborne the biggest names, and Carr in particular looked good with a pair of interceptions against San Diego. However, the Cowboys registered just a single sack against the Chargers and Ryan will want that number raised this sports betting weekend.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Even though the line would be fairly accurate for a preseason game, Dallas isn’t expected to play this game at the same speed as the Rams, who have much more to work out before the regular season begins. While Fisher is looking forward to a good test for his team on both sides of the ball, the biggest concern for the Cowboys will be to get through the game without suffering any significant injuries. Even though the Rams may not win, don’t expect them to fall behind the five-point spread.
