Saints Giants Betting Predictions – Saints, Giants Clash In Must-Win Game For Both Teams
Back-to-back losses to two of the top NFC teams have taken a toll on the playoff chances of the New Orleans Saints. It won’t get any easier this week either, as the Saints travel to play the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants. After a three-game win streak came to a sudden halt in a 10-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans doubled up with another 10-point loss, this time to the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints still feel they are a talented enough group to compete for a playoff spot, but if they don’t prove it this week against the Giants their sports betting season will be over.

NFL Betting Line: New York Giants – 6
The Giants have some work of their own to do with their backs against the wall following a 17-16 loss to the Washington Redskins on Monday night, which cut their NFC East over both Washington and the Dallas Cowboys to just one game. With two of their next three away from home against playoff teams, this is a crucial matchup for New York.
NFL Betting Preview: New Orleans Saints
Although the New Orleans defense has given up an average of 27 points in its last two losses, that number is still down from earlier in the season when 30-plus points against was expected. However, the Saints have actually stumbled on offense in each of the last two games, including last week’s five-interception performance by Drew Brees. Brees will need to be much more careful with the football, and the New Orleans offense as a whole will need to generate more scoring plays in order to have any chance at keeping up with Eli Manning and the Giants.
NFL Betting Preview: New York Giants
While his last performance wasn’t nearly as bad as Brees’, Manning will also attempt to bounce back this week after New York managed only one touchdown against the Redskins on MNF. That loss brought back some of the concerns about Manning’s arm before the Giants’ win over the Green Bay Packers the previous online sportsbook week, and New York has now lost three of four overall. The Giants’ defense will also need to generate more pressure up front to make up for holes in the secondary, which were exploited by Robert Griffin III in the loss. RGIII threw for 163 and a late touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon that put Washington ahead for good.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Scoring shouldn’t be a problem for the Giants this week, but they will need to find a way to keep Brees from getting back in to a rhythm in order to cover the number. New York is now in a race for the NFC East division with both the Redskins and Cowboys hot on their trail, and they can’t afford to lose this game with a trip to face the Atlanta Falcons right around the corner for next week. The Saints have battled through adversity all season and can take pride in remaining competitive, but they have yet to prove themselves against the top teams with the exception of splitting their two games with Atlanta, and that won’t change against a hungry Giants’ team.
