Seahawks Broncos Betting – Seahawks Look To Build On Big Week One Win To Beat Broncos
Up until the Kansas City Chiefs topped the San Diego Chargers in the late football betting game Monday night, the Seattle Seahawks had likely the biggest upset of the week to boast about, spanking the San Francisco 49ers at home in a game they were favored to lose. Seattle will look to keep that momentum going this weekend on the road, as they travel to the Mile High to take on a Denver Broncos team that lost its opening game away from home at Jacksonville.

Why To Bet On The Seahawks?
The Pete Carroll-era as head coach in Seattle opened with thunderous applause as the Seahawks dominated the division rival that was projected by many to be the class of the AFC West this season. The difference was in the details week one for Seattle, with their defense forcing Alex Smith into a pair of interceptions, including a 32-yard pick off return for a touchdown by Seahawks’ cornerback Marcus Trufant. Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck threw for just 170 yards and two touchdowns, but it was enough to capitalize on missed opportunities by the 49ers. After gaining just 11 total yards on offense some time into the second quarter, the Seahawks finally hit their stride versus San Francisco, but will look to avoid the slow start in this game.
Why To Bet On The Broncos?
The Denver Broncos head home to Mile High after a disappointing visit to Florida, where they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-17. It was a tough start for the Broncos defense, which allowed Jaguars’ quarterback David Garrard to throw for 170 yards and three touchdowns, while letting the Jacksonville rushing attack move the ball for close to five yards a carry. Denver will need to short up their units in a hurry versus a Seattle team that put up 31 against a tough 49ers defense. On the other side of the ball, quarterback Kyle Orton wasn’t awful, but he wasn’t very good either in throwing for 295 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Broncos will need to rely on the running game more in this contest in order to jumpstart the passing game, after Knowshon Moreno had just 15 touches despite averaging four yards per carry.
How The Game Will Play Out
It will be a different atmosphere on the road for the Seahawks, but not one that will make enough of a difference that they can’t move to 2-0 after week two. Seattle’s defense looked tough in week one, and they did put up 31 against the 49ers, which leads me to believe that Carroll’s team is for real this season. The Broncos struggled to do many things right on both sides of the ball, and this could be a tough week two matchup to open at home with.
